In the second season, Treyarch is astonishing everyone by introducing the Zombies map called “The Tomb” into Black Ops 6. This addition brings the game up to a total of four Zombies maps. The release date for “The Tomb” promises exciting new weapons, Easter Eggs, and plenty more content.

As a gamer, I’m not just idling in Call of Duty: Black Oops 6, waiting for the undead ritual. The creative minds at Treyarch are making amends for the less-than-satisfying years between Black Ops Cold War and BLOPS 6 by unveiling a fresh Zombies map—already our fourth one, just three months post-launch. This new map will be standing shoulder to shoulder with Liberty Falls, Terminus, and Citadelle des Morts, giving me quite the dilemma when it comes to choosing which map to conquer next!

Absolutely, having more content is not something negative at all! In fact, it’s even more thrilling since Treyarch has given us hints about significant upcoming additions – from Easter Eggs to the return of a legendary weapon.

The Tomb Zombies Map Release Date in Black Ops 6

The Tomb’s release date is January 28—alongside Black Ops 6 Season 2.

Season 1 was enjoyable, but I have high expectations for Season 2 as it’s taking shape. The new addition, “The Tomb,” is already available on release day, and it’s clear that the creators, Treyarch, are enthusiastic about it!

In the Call of Duty: Zombies blog for Day 115, the developers mentioned that they designed The Tomb to deliver an experience reminiscent of Liberty Falls, our most popular zombie map in recent times. This new map emphasizes compact play areas with a strong focus on replay value.

New Easter Eggs For The Tomb Zombies in Black Ops 6

Treyarch is planning to include numerous hidden surprises, or Easter Eggs, within the The Tomb map for Black Ops 6’s Zombies.

In simpler terms, there have been hidden references to music (Easter Eggs) in Liberty Falls and Terminus maps. These maps also contain numerous smaller Easter Eggs related to the main objectives. Although we’re unsure about the new Easter Eggs yet, you can probably anticipate discovering more headphones, secret weapons, and other items hidden away. Additionally, there will likely be a comprehensive story-based Easter Egg to uncover as well.

Wonder Weapon Remake for The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies

A “reimagined Wonder Weapon” is being teased for The Tomb in Black Ops 6.

At present, the Tomb holds four powerful artifacts known as Wonder Weapons, which include the Ray Gun, Jet Gun (also known as Thrustodyne M23), DRI-11 Beamsmasher, and Bastard Swords. Although a familiar weapon from Treyarch’s history narrows the possibilities, it could still be any one of several Wonder Weapons: The DIE Shockwave from Black Ops Cold War, the Void Bow from Black Ops 3, or Alistair’s Annihilator from Black Ops 4.

Fingers crossed it’s a good one I can use to relive nostalgia and turn Zombies into inedible soup.

Iconic Weapon Returns in Black Ops 6 The Tomb Map

The upcoming surprise for Black Ops 6 also includes a well-known submachine gun from the annals of Zombies history, which will join us on the Tomb Zombies map.

As a gamer, I can’t help but wonder if the upcoming Season 2 content might include one of those classic submachine guns. It could be an MP-40, PPSH, or M1927 Thompson – who knows? Treyarch always manages to keep us on our toes and bring back much-loved gear. Here’s to hoping the official announcement doesn’t disappoint!
