Pokemon TCG Pocket has just revealed how the upcoming trading feature will work in the game. 

As a thrilled fan of Pokémon TCG Pocket, I’m eagerly anticipating the introduction of a new trading feature due in January 2025! To help us make the most of it before its arrival, the developers have graciously shared some insights on how to trade cards within the game. However, there are a few stipulations to keep in mind: trades can only be conducted with friends, and not all card rarities are eligible for trading. Let’s delve into the workings of this exciting new feature in Pokémon TCG Pocket below!

  • Players will only be allowed to trade with friends. 
  • You cannot trade cards of different rarities; both cards must be the same. 
  • When Pokemon TCG Pocket’s trade feature arrives, some cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island cards can be traded. The selection of booster pack players 
  • Players can only trade cards with one-diamond to four-diamond rarity cards and one-star cards.
  • Lastly, players will have to consume the items to trade them. 

The creators of Pokémon TCG Pocket plan to monitor the community’s reaction to the trading function and adjust future updates based on their findings. Furthermore, they’ve announced that the latest collection of Pokémon TCG Pocket Booster Packs is due out this month, with additional information about the packs coming soon.

As a devoted Pokemon TCG Pocket fan, I must admit I’m not entirely thrilled about the features slated for the game’s launch. The trading options seem quite restricted, which might pose a challenge in completing my precious collection. Moreover, the fact that we can’t trade two-star and three-star cards has left many of us feeling a bit let down.
