Dragon Age: The Vielguard’s Game Director Has Reportedly Left Bioware

As reported by a trusted source, the director who oversaw the production of the recently launched Dragon Age: The Vielguard game has chosen to part ways with Bioware.

According to a tweet by game journalist Jeff Grubb, Corrine Busch, who leads Dragon Age at BioWare, has indeed left the company. However, Grubb expressed doubts about the rumors suggesting Electronic Arts (EA) will shut down their BioWare Edmonton studio, stating that there is no substantial evidence to support this part of the speculation.

Corrine Busch boasts an impressive 18-year tenure with the Electronic Arts (EA) team. Throughout her career, she’s contributed to major franchises like The Sims and Dragon Age. Initially, Busch joined Headgates Studios as an environment artist. She then advanced her role at BioWare as a lead systems designer before ascending to the position of Game Director at EA in 2022.

In their latest release, the game director unveiled Dragon Age: Vielguard, the fourth series instalment and successor to Inquisition, set for 2024. This title immerses players in the richly detailed world of Thedas, complete with untamed wilderness, treacherous labyrinths, and dazzling cities. Two ancient deities are threatening the peace, and you will step into the shoes of Rook, the newest Dragon Age hero tasked with safeguarding Thedas.
