One of the most striking observations is that it appears the new Mario Kart on Switch 2 may accommodate up to 24 players in a single race. The race depicted in the Switch 2 trailer seems to be one such 24-player event, although not every participant can be clearly distinguished. As of now, at least 22 racers have been identified.
According to the intriguing footage I’ve come across from Bluesky user Sylverstone Khandr and my personal analysis, it appears that the Switch 2’s reveal trailer hints at a minimum of 22 characters for the upcoming Mario Kart game. While some characters aren’t fully visible, there’s a strong chance that this lineup includes Baby Daisy, Baby Luigi, Baby Mario, Baby Peach, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Daisy, Donkey Kong, King Boo, Koopa Troopa, Luigi, Mario, Pauline, Peach, Rosalina, Shy Guy, Toad, Toadette, Waluigi, Wario, and Yoshi.
