Summary
- Koby may have forgotten his goal of capturing Alvida in One Piece.
- Koby has moved on from his time with Alvida, focusing on more important matters.
- One Piece tends to bring plots full circle, so a Koby-Alvida reunion could happen.
In its earlier days, “One Piece” was more tranquil and straightforward compared to its current grand epic status. Originally, it chronicled the adventures of a band of comrades navigating through a hazardous world, but now it encompasses an entire universe brimming with pirates. At that time, the aspirations and desires of each “One Piece” character appeared more modest, as viewers were unaware of the immense challenges they would eventually face in making their dreams come true.
On a different note, certain objectives from the early chapters of One Piece appear to be overlooked in its contemporary narrative. For instance, one of Koby’s initial goals, such as apprehending Alvida and ensuring she faces justice, seems to have fallen by the wayside. The curiosity arises: has Koby abandoned his pursuit of Alvida altogether, or is there a possibility he’ll get another opportunity to bring her to justice before the story reaches its conclusion?
Koby And Alvida Are Two Of One Piece’s Earliest Characters
Although Alvida Has All But Vanished Koby Is Still Important To The Story
At the outset of “One Piece”, Koby inadvertently boards what he believed was a fishing vessel, only to discover it was a pirate ship. This unwitting move made him serve under Alvida. Despite this, young Koby aspired not to be a pirate but rather to join the Navy and ascend to the rank of Admiral. On Alvida’s ship, Koby crossed paths with Luffy, who swiftly vanquished Alvida and liberated Koby, enabling him to genuinely pursue his ambition of joining the Navy.
I’ll join the Navy, and then I’ll capture Alvida. – Koby
Koby asserts that he aims to arrest Alvida and make this action official. At present, the original adversary of Luffy’s series remains unapprehended, having acquired a unique Devil Fruit and holding a prominent position within Buggy’s crew. Although it appears she hasn’t significantly boosted her strength since her last appearance in Loguetown, her association with an Emperor’s crew gives her additional resources and influence, suggesting that capturing her could prove more challenging.
Koby May Have Forgotten His Goal To Capture Alvida In One Piece
He May Not Even Know She’s Still An Active Pirate
- Koby Has Moved On From His Time With Alvida
- There Are Mor Important Things For Koby To Worry About Now
It appears that in the world of One Piece, Koby seems to have moved on from his initial goal of capturing the pirate Alvida, as he may now consider her justice served following Luffy’s defeat of her. Given that Alvida reappeared at Loguetown due to her Smooth-Smooth Fruit powers, she looks significantly different now, which might lead Koby to believe she is no longer an active pirate in the story.
To put it simply, although Alvida once posed a significant challenge in the early stages of One Piece, Koby has significantly outgrown her power level in the current narrative. A confrontation between them would serve as a nod to the series’ past, but given Koby’s current strength, it would likely result in a one-sided victory. Unless Alvida has undergone intensive training to rival the top tiers of One Piece characters, such a fight wouldn’t offer much excitement.
One Piece Loves To Bring Plots Full Circle
Reuniting Alvida And Koby Fells Like Something That One Piece Would Do
It’s worth noting that the storyline of One Piece often ties up loose ends, even subtle details that viewers might have missed initially. Although a major confrontation or serious mission involving Alvida may not occur, it would be intriguing if the Cross Guild ever clashes with the Navy, leading to a brief encounter between Koby and Alvida. Given how different they both look now compared to their early appearances in One Piece, it could provide some amusing moments if they fail to recognize each other due to their transformations.
It’s not fair to constantly place the responsibility for your destiny onto others, assuming they have the power to fix everything.
As a bystander, I’ve noticed that Koby, who’s known for his commitment to his promises, appears to have overlooked Alvida or believed she was vanquished early in the One Piece tale. Despite One Piece’s knack for wrapping up loose ends, characters often make vague statements that don’t lead to significant consequences. Yet, if by some twist of fate, Alvida and Koby cross paths again before the conclusion of One Piece, it might result in a humorous encounter between two of One Piece’s earliest characters.
