The seventh installment of Civilization, titled Civilization 7, is now set for takeoff! The developers at Firaxis Games have confirmed that the game has reached its final stage of development, three weeks before its scheduled launch on February 11th.
The announcement came via a post on social media on Monday.
The post announces, ‘We’ve found our treasure!’ This means Civilization VII has been finished and is now ready for release on stores, starting from February 11.
Reaching the ‘Gold’ stage indicates that, unless something unexpected happens, there won’t likely be a postponement for the upcoming addition to the renowned series, Civilization 7. Upon its debut, this title will be accessible across PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Notably, cross-play functionality will be enabled right from the game’s launch day.
Individuals opting for the pricier editions of the game can start playing it as early as February 6, which is five days ahead of the release date for Standard Edition holders.
For playing the game on PC, the system requirements vary based on the level of graphics quality you desire. The game is compatible with CPUs as old as the Intel Core i3-101000 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200, and GPUs as old as the Nvidia GTX 1050 and AMD RX 460. If you aim for the highest graphics settings, ensure your system has at least a 14th-generation Intel CPU or AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, coupled with an Nvidia RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7800XT GPU.
