Amidst the chaos of World War II, Hell Let Loose immerses you deeply into the heat of combat. To emerge triumphant, teamwork is crucial. Regardless if you opt for the Medic role or any other character in the game, it’s highly advisable to have a partner by your side as you navigate through the trenches.
In some multiplayer shooter games online, it’s simpler to play with friends. However, in the case of Hell Let Loose, coordinating gameplay with your friends can be a bit tricky as you can’t create a lobby for synchronous matchmaking. But don’t fret! This guide will walk you through the process of enjoying Hell Let Loose alongside your buddies.
How to Play With Friends in Hell Let Loose
Regrettably, I should clarify that “Hell Let Loose” isn’t a cross-platform game. This implies that when it comes to teaming up with friends for a match, we must ensure that we are all using the same gaming platform first. In other words, PC gamers can’t join queues with console players to maintain fairness across the board.
PC gamers, fortunately, can team up irrespective of whether they’re utilizing Steam, Xbox Game Pass for PC, or the Epic Games platform.
Here are the different ways you can play with friends in Hell Let Loose:
Queue into the Same Server
As a gaming enthusiast, I find the most straightforward method to enjoy sessions with my buddies is by hopping onto the same server. When you navigate to the main menu and click on ‘Enlist’, you’ll be presented with a variety of servers, each showcasing the maps they’re currently playing on. Each server also provides its current player count, with a maximum limit of 100 players per server.
You can also check your Ping on each server on this screen.
To maximize your chances of playing together, seek out servers with approximately 70-80 active participants. Encourage your friend to join the queue on the same server. After both of you have been admitted, you can decide to team up in the same faction or challenge each other by joining opposite factions.
As a gamer, I can tell you that when I’m navigating through the game menus, I don’t forget to check out the ‘Friends’ tab under ‘Enlist.’ It’s a great way for me to see if any of my gaming buddies are currently online and playing on a server. So, whether we’re teaming up or just chilling, it’s always fun to know who’s around!
Invite Friends Inside the Game
If you successfully access a server that has ample room, pressing the Esc key on your computer will display the primary menu. From there, navigate to ‘Invite Friends’ and should any of your companions be engaged in the game, you may select their names to extend an invitation.
As a gamer, when my buddy gets an invite (found right on the main menu), they’ll hop onto the server once they give it a thumbs-up.
Via the in-game Overlay (Same Platform)
If you and your friend use the same gaming platform, there’s an easy method for collaborative gameplay. Just find a server with open spaces and enter it. Once you’re in, utilize the in-game interface to summon your buddy directly from your friends list. The specific steps may differ depending on the platform.
For Steam gamers, hit the keys Shift and Tab simultaneously to launch the in-game interface. Look for your friend’s username there, click on it with the right mouse button, then choose “Invite to Game” so they can hop onto your server.
This method also works for console players.
Rent a Server
The third choice available is leasing your own server, but remember it will require some payment. To avail of this option, navigate to the main Hell Let Loose site and click on the “Server Rental” button located at the bottom part of the page.
This choice involves a fee, but it ensures that you and your companions can game together anytime, plus it allows you to manage your gaming experience personally.
Alternatively, you can click on the Rent a Server button below the server list in the Enlist menu.
Hell Let Loose could prove challenging at first, but with a few comrades battling alongside you, it becomes much more manageable. Employing the strategies we’ve discussed previously, you should now be capable of extending invitations to your friends to join you in this authentic tactical shooter and achieve triumph together.
