As Oda unveils captivating insights into the heritage of the Giants’ land, readers now have a wealth of knowledge about the Giant race, their traditions, and crucially, the Sun God Nika as well.
In chapter 1136 of the popular series “One Piece,” a significant twist unfolded that unveiled the mystery surrounding the Giants’ mythology. This revelation delved into the intriguing aspects of characters like Nika and Luffy, sparking great anticipation among fans. The surprising disclosure has fundamentally altered the perspective on the world’s pivotal history, making it more thrilling than ever before.
The Ancient Battle That Destroyed The World
- The World Of One Piece Has Been Destroyed Twice
- Nika Fought Someone Powerful
In chapter 1136 of One Piece, Oda unveiled some thrilling insights to fans, largely through the character of Jarul. As fans are aware, Jarul holds a significant position within Elbaf, being revered as an Elder and claimed to be the oldest living being. Using Jarul, Oda delved into the mythology of Giants for the audience. According to Jarul’s account, an ancient text in the One Piece world known as the Harley, which is no longer translatable, hints that our world has met destruction not once but twice. This revelation leaves fans stunned due to several reasons. For one, many had anticipated the world being destroyed only once. Recall that Oda has previously mentioned the world sinking once, during the Void Century. If the world was destroyed twice, it suggests another catastrophe occurred even before the Void Century, a scenario that aligns with the idea that the real Nika existed long ago.
Vegapunk said that his name was Captain Cheerful, and he was the pioneer who braved the vast oceans for the first time. He boldly proclaimed himself a swashbuckler!
In the Harley’s account, it is mentioned that whenever there’s a threat or actual destruction of the world, the name of the Sun God Nika seems to be connected. This suggests that Nika is a recurring entity in discussions concerning global devastation. Approximately 900 years ago, during what is known as the Void Century, Nika was present through Joy Boy. It can be debated whether his approach to using Ancient Weapons was morally sound, although the full details about it are still unclear.
Currently, we’re witnessing a significant development: The World Government seems poised for a major purge, possibly leveraging the might of the Ancient Weapons. Notably, Nika is once more on the scene, undeniably leading the resistance against the Government. It’s uncertain how Luffy will navigate these events with Nika in the picture.
Primarily, it’s crucial to note that long before Joy Boy, there lived a genuine giant named Nika, hailing from Elbaf. This implies that our Nika was indeed a giant. He too engaged in battles against an overwhelming force capable of annihilating the world, which isn’t surprising considering that Nika emerges when the world is on the brink of significant change. Without a doubt, Nika’s adversary was an immensely powerful individual with prodigious strength, and fans are undoubtedly eager to witness more of this character in the narrative’s upcoming chapters.
Why Nika Fought The Sea Devil In The Ancient War
The Only Enemy Nika Could’ve Fought Is The Sea Devil
Predicting who might have been Nika’s adversary isn’t an easy task. You see, it’s important to remember that Nika was a powerful warrior who lived long before the concept of the World Government emerged. At that time, there were no Ancient Kingdom, Joy Boy, or Founding 20. There was no significant world advancement at all during this era. Yet, something undeniably obstructed him.
In this period, it’s reasonable to believe that the Red Line was present, as fans were already aware of its existence before the Void Century due to the Lunarians inhabiting it. It seems likely that whatever entities populated this era could have been responsible for the origin of the Void Century, the Grand Line, and the subsequent unpredictable weather patterns in the world of One Piece, leading to the first significant devastation. Furthermore, it’s plausible that ancient artifacts like Poseidon were still in existence. Since Poseidon is said to resurface every few centuries, with its last awakening being during the Void Century, we can estimate that the era of Nika might have been approximately 1600 years prior.
It is said that our world was destroyed two times in the past. — Jarul
Regarding the rival of godlike Nika, there’s only one who can truly measure up, and that’s none other than the Sea Devil – a character shrouded in myth within One Piece, much like Nika. It’s possible this creature exists, perhaps due to a Devil Fruit or some other means. The Sea Devil could possibly be the one who engaged in combat with Nika and emerged victorious.
The Result Of The Battle That Shaped Up The World
The World Of One Piece Was Redefined
On a planet, it’s unusual to find a continent as vast as the Red Line. This leads one to speculate that this continent might not have formed naturally but could have been crafted by none other than the Sea Devil. It’s also plausible that the All Blue existed prior to this period, with Nika striving to protect it. Joy Boy could have attempted to rectify the situation by assuming the form of Nika, but Imu posed a challenge. Interestingly, there are connections between Imu and the Sea Devil, hinting that the Sea Devil might have originated around the same time as the Nika fruit. This theory gains more credence when we consider Luffy as the current Nika, destined to overcome Imu, liberate the world according to D’s Will, free it from the grip of the World Government, raise the water levels by destroying the Red Line, and ultimately create the All Blue.
Without a doubt, it seems clear that the ongoing struggle between the Solar Deity and the Marine Fiend will persist, with Luffy being the final Solar Deity to vanquish the fiend permanently and reestablish harmony across the world. Fingers crossed, Oda delves deeper into the mythology surrounding Nika and the Marine Fiend in the Elbaf saga as the narrative progresses.
