In contrast to the standard Fire-type Rapidash, its regional version, known as Galarian Rapidash, is a unique blend of Psychic/Fairy-type. Rather than the typical fiery appearance, this form sports a long mane adorned with vibrant colors, gentle blue eyes, and a more prominent horn compared to its original counterpart from Kanto. First introduced in Pokemon Sword and Shield, players can also encounter Galarian Rapidash in other games via Pokemon Home. Additionally, this form is available in Pokemon GO.

To excel at this role, Speedsters boast high mobility for easy movement across the map, efficient resource gathering, and potent combos.

Besides adding more Speedster characters to the playable roster of Pokemon Unite, Galarian Rapidash’s arrival will boost the total number of playable characters to over 70. This Gen 8 Pokemon joins the game about a month after Tinkaton was introduced on December 12. It’s anticipated that Miraidon will be the next character to debut, expected in late February. Notably, Galarian Rapidash is just the second regional form to appear in Pokemon Unite; Alolan Ninetales was the first, joining the game back in July 2021.
