Nvidia RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 Launch To Be “Worst When It Comes To Availability”

If your goal is to purchase a brand new Nvidia RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 at their launch, you might find it more challenging than anticipated. Based on various whispers spreading around, the debut of Nvidia’s next-generation graphics cards could potentially present the most significant difficulties in availability that the company has ever encountered.

One of our board partners, Zotac, has acknowledged supply problems in an online post. The AIC has announced that their card will not be released on January 30 as previously anticipated, but rather in early February. However, Zotac mentions that “due to external circumstances,” there’s a possibility the card may not arrive until mid-February.

As reported by Benchlife, the communication problems between Nvidia and its multiple AI collaborators have led to a scarcity of supply available to consumers.

PowerGPU, the renowned gaming PC builder, has cautioned everyone: “Prepare yourself as the arrival of the RTX 5090 may face severe shortages. You should anticipate this scarcity for approximately the first three months.

We’ve contacted Nvidia for their thoughts on these allegations. If we get a reply, we’ll make sure to update this report.

During the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in early January, Nvidia unveiled their top-tier graphics cards: the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. Furthermore, Nvidia plans to launch the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 in February, though no specific release date has been provided by the company as of now.
