It’s been officially announced by the creators of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 that the game’s narrative wraps up in the year 2024.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Story Has Been Completed

During an interview with Famitsu, Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Naoki Hamaguchi talked about the plot of Part 3. Kitase mentioned that Tetsuya Nomura, who directed the remake, passed on the story for part 3 at the end of last year, and he is “extremely pleased” with it, expressing confidence that it will provide a fulfilling ending for fans as well.

Kitase explains that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 serves as the final chapter of the series, significantly contributing to the overall franchise. Therefore, he assigned Nomura the task of creating something that honors the original game while still offering a sense of fulfillment exceeding the experience from the original. Essentially, he wants a narrative that will “wrap up the Remake Project.” It appears we could get this installment ahead of schedule.
