Is the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 DEX the Ultimate Gaming Mouse?

I’ve been fond of the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 since I reviewed it about a year and a half back. Its straightforward, lightweight construction is ideal for daily use as well as gaming. Logitech has opted for a straightforward yet responsive design with the Pro X Superlight 2, creating a gaming mouse that’s hard to surpass. However, Logitech G has made a minor adjustment to the Pro X Superlight 2 with the Pro X Superlight 2 DEX, which could enhance its appeal for some users.

Upon first look, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 DEX may appear similar to its base model, but there are distinct differences. The main variation is that the DEX has a subtle curve on its left side and a broader base, designed to suit a right-handed user’s grip. This slight alteration from the symmetrical design of the Pro X Superlight 2 makes the DEX unique, and for right-handed individuals, I would argue it offers a superior experience.

The Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 isn’t a poorly designed or uncomfortable mouse, but it has a slight curve and wider base which makes the DEX model more ergonomic for many users. It fits comfortably without impeding the use of side buttons or gliding over a large mousemat. The name ‘DEX’ might lead some gamers to believe it’s an ambidextrous mouse, but it may not be as comfortable for most left-handed individuals compared to the standard Superlight 2 model.

Regarding the minor adjustment aside, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 DEX operates identically to the standard Superlight 2. It retains the same high-performance Hero 2 sensor, capable of reaching up to 44K DPI, and employs Logitech’s Lightspeed USB-A dongle for 8kHz polling rate. This mouse is highly sensitive, detecting even minor movements, and can maintain precision as you swiftly move it across a broad surface. The buttons offer a satisfying click, while the scroll wheel provides a smooth yet resistant feel, allowing precise navigation on websites. As its name suggests, this mouse is exceptionally lightweight, tipping the scales at just 88g.

In essence, I’ve pretty much exhausted all there is to say about the Superlight 2 DEX in my first review. This gaming mouse stands out as one of the best I’ve ever handled, particularly for those who prioritize performance over extra features or multiple buttons. It boasts impressive battery life and a significant upgrade when it comes to charging – it now requires only a standard USB-C cable instead of a specific proprietary one.

Some gamers might find a heavier gaming mouse more comfortable, in which case the Logitech G502 X could be a good choice for them. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a mouse that feels like it’s an extension of your hand, glides smoothly across the pad without compromising on precision or speed, then the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 DEX is an outstanding selection.

Right now, you can get your hands on the Logitech Pro X Superlight 2 DEX mouse priced at $159.99. This versatile mouse is offered in three colors: white, black, and pink. For this particular review, Game Rant received the white version.
