On social media platforms, John ‘Bucky’ Buckley, a key team member at Pocketpair, openly shared that he has been receiving numerous messages and offers since the company announced its publishing venture. Bucky, who was recently appointed as Communications Director and Publishing Manager, made this revelation in a recent Twitter post (X).
He wrote, ‘I think I might have underestimated how much interest there would be.’
‘Do Whatever You Want’
This week, Pocketpair, developer of Palworld, unveiled ‘Pocketpair Publishing’. At the same time, Surgent Studios, creators of Tales of Kenzera, announced that they would be the first significant partner of this publishing branch, collaborating with them to produce a new horror game.
On social platforms, John ‘Bucky’ Buckley disclosed that in just 15 hours after posting Pocketpair news, he was flooded with over 1,600 connection requests, emails, and offers from small-scale developers eager to collaborate with the brand.
On Twitter, Bucky shot up, pulling in several hundred followers just as the news broke.
Under Bucky’s post, people questioned him about the specifics of Pocketpair’s publishing strategies, particularly wanting to understand the extent of their collaboration with the developer.
We give you money. You make game.
If you want help with marketing or something we’ll help out, but otherwise do whatever you want.
By providing developers with the necessary financial autonomy, we aim to empower them to create games according to their vision, thereby eliminating the need for them to deal with overbearing rule enforcers and intimidating critics.
It’s been made clear that Pocketpair Publishing operates entirely with its own funds. This information has only recently come to light, as expressed in a company statement.
Working independently gives us the advantage of assisting game creators in realizing their visions without the hassles that come with dealing with external parties who might not prioritize their well-being.
Pocketpair and Pocketpair Publishing are beholden to no one.
We continue to stay passionate about creating enjoyable games, and we’re thrilled to now assist others in bringing their own fun game ideas to reality.
To collaborate with Pocketpair Publishing, all you need to do is visit their website and click on ‘Submit Your Game’ for a straightforward process.
