ProgressPokemon has written a story about Eevee’s origin, suggesting that if an Eevee spends much time digging for bugs underground, it could evolve into Squirmeon. This hypothetical evolution would be excellent at burrowing and spend most of its life hidden under the earth. The mud-like appearance is due to this constant burrowing, and its blue eyes suggest poor vision from spending so much time in darkness.
