For February 2025, the creators of Pokemon Go have unveiled a major event, named “Small Yet Strong”. This special occasion will be teeming with numerous Bug-type Pokemon for players to catch in their quests.
For a prolonged period, the Bug-type characters in the main Pokemon series were often unfairly criticized, largely because they underperformed in the early Generation 1 and 2 games. If they had been equipped with strong abilities, Bug-types could have provided an effective balance against the overpowering Psychic-types. However, Game Freak chose to endow them with subpar stats and weak moves instead.
It’s great news that Bug-type Pokemon will finally have their moment in the spotlight, as confirmed by a recent post on the official Pokémon Go website. The Small Yet Strong Bug-type event is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, February 5, starting at 10:00 a.m., until Saturday, February 8, 2025, ending at 8:00 p.m., in your local time.
