Fan Reimagines Armarouge and Ceruledge as Horse-Knight Legends

Summary

  • Armarouge and Ceruledge received stunning “origin” redesigns as horse-inspired armor knights in Pokemon fan art.
  • The unique creatures evolve from Charcadet using special items, showcasing Fire/Ghost and Fire/Psychic types.

As a dedicated Pokémon enthusiast, I’ve just come across two fascinating “origin” redesigns for Armarouge and Ceruledge, both from Generation 9. These fresh takes on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s newest additions have truly caught my eye. Among the over 100 new creatures introduced in these latest entries to the franchise, Armarounge and Ceruledge are undeniably among the most memorable from their generation.

In the ninth generation of Pokemon games, we have the Fire/Ghost-type and Fire/Psychic-type creatures named Armarouge and Ceruledge. These two-legged Pokemon, reminiscent of knights, are similar due to their evolution from Charcadet. You can acquire them by exposing a Charcadet to specific items. When you use an Auspicious Armor on the creature, it transforms into Armarouge, while the Malicious Armor results in Ceruledge.

Currently, a dedicated Pokemon artist named KosukeSukeP has unveiled two captivating sketches to the community, showcasing Armarouge and Ceruledge as their potential “ancestral” forms. Although the artist didn’t specify the exact meaning behind these ancestral forms, they depicted the knight Pokemon in a horse-inspired style with a sleek appearance. Armarouge was crafted with horns, a black helmet, golden armor, and a massive equine physique, while Ceruledge appeared as a four-legged creature with a metallic body. The Pokemon community has enthusiastically received the artwork, bestowing more than 1,200 upvotes upon its creator, with one fan suggesting that these creatures could effortlessly serve as bosses in a Souls-style game.

Pokemon Fan’s Origin Forms for Armarouge and Ceruledge

In a different piece of art, someone blended Armorouge and Ceruledge, creating a knight-like figure that showcased traits from both creatures. This fusion incorporated various armor parts in an unique way. The new character was dubbed Iron Legionary and envisioned as a potential future Pokemon in the Paradox series.

Since these creatures are well-liked, they frequently appear in fan-made works. Previously, a fan designed an animated Gen 5 sprite for Ceruledge, featuring intricate details and showing the blade being wielded during combat.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but marvel at how Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have sparked creativity in others. Last year, one artist brought the Gen 9 Pokemon to life in human form! They beautifully redesigned Koraidon, Miraidon, Terapagos, Pecharunt, and even the four distinct Ogerpon forms as vibrant, anime-styled characters. For instance, they depicted Koraidon as a youth sporting a jacket adorned with colors reminiscent of the Pokemon itself. I eagerly anticipate more inspiration from the upcoming Pokemon Legends Z-A, and I can’t wait to see what extraordinary creations fans will share with the community!
