The masterminds behind it, Neowiz and Round8, have managed to encapsulate the heart of what a top-tier Soulslike game should be. They’ve delivered an immersive experience through intricately designed levels that seamlessly connect, formidable boss battles, swift and impactful parry and riposte mechanics, engaging combat, and unique, innovative elements that set it apart from the rest.

Since its debut in September 2023, Lies of P has built up a dedicated fanbase, eagerly awaiting the future installments of the Soulslike series. Shortly after launch, Neowiz announced an expansion pack for Lies of P, which was slated for release in Q1 2025. However, as Q1 2025 has now arrived and there are several anticipated games on the horizon, it might be wise for the Lies of P DLC to delay its launch slightly.

This could prove challenging for those with limited funds, given the large number of big-ticket games set to hit the market.

2025’s Q1 is brimming with action-packed games, some resembling third-person combat mechanics seen in the game “Lies of P”. Titles like “Eternal Strands”, “Hyper Light Breaker”, and “Dynasty Warriors Origins” were recently released, all boasting intense action elements. Meanwhile, “Monster Hunter Wilds”, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”, and “The First Berserker: Khazan” are upcoming releases that emphasize close-combat gameplay, set to debut throughout the rest of Q1 2025.

For “Lies of P” enthusiasts, the DLC would probably be their first pick among all Q1 releases. However, if Neowiz aims to draw in a broader audience for the game and make its DLC more prominent, a less crowded or quieter launch period might be a wiser choice.

A Delay Feels Like It Could Be on The Cards for Lies of P’s DLC

No reveal trailer has been shared, no gameplay footage, no hints about new locations or plot points, and no title announcement yet.

There’s a strong chance that the trailer for the new expansion pack of “Lies of P” could drop any day now, potentially leading to the launch of the expansion a few weeks later.
