Interestingly, there are some One Piece characters who are undeniably strong, yet for unknown reasons, they have not unlocked or been confirmed to possess Devil Fruit Awakening abilities.

King

Devil Fruit: Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Pteranodon

Among Yonko Kaido’s key lieutenants, King is highly regarded for his combat skills, earning him a bounty of 1.390 billion berries. However, despite possessing the Pteranodon Devil Fruit for an extended period, King has yet to awaken its powers, indicating that he may not be one of the most proficient users of Devil Fruits in One Piece. Moreover, his Haki abilities are relatively ordinary, which further highlights King’s potential limitations as a fighter.

While Katakuri was proficient in all three forms of Haki and mastered the use of a Devil Fruit, King did not make any significant impact in either area.

Kizaru

Devil Fruit: Pika Pika no Mi

In contrast to what many fans might anticipate, Kizaru – a character from One Piece – has never displayed the power of Devil Fruit Awakening. His mastery over the Zushi Zushi no Mi, a Paramecia Devil Fruit, which enables him to manipulate gravity, is a testament to his exceptional skill set, a fact well-recognized by fans.

It’s unfortunate that Fujitora doesn’t have the ability to awaken a Devil Fruit, considering his distinguished background and impressive power level, one might expect him to possess this capability too.

Greenbull

Devil Fruit: Mori Mori No Mi

Admiral Greenbull, hailing from the Navy, wields the powerful Mori Mori no Mi, a Logia Devil Fruit that allows him to manipulate nature at will. His strength is well-known among fans, with his ability being deeply connected to the elements themselves. However, it remains unclear whether he has awakened this ability or not.

There’s a chance he might have activated a Devil Fruit, but during the Wano Country Arc, his performance was really disappointing. So far, there’s been no sign that his Devil Fruit has been fully awakened.

Big Mom

Devil Fruit: Soru Soru no Mi

It’s quite unexpected that Emperor Big Mom didn’t consume an Awakened Devil Fruit. In fact, there has been no confirmation from Oda about her having an Awakened Devil Fruit. Big Mom consumed her Devil Fruit when she was still very young.

Over the past five decades, I’ve been a Yonko and mastered every form of Haki, yet the mystery of Big Mom’s Devil Fruit remains unopened. There’s a strong argument to be made for her possessing Devil Fruit Awakening, but unfortunately, it’s not something that’s been officially confirmed. Alas, as fans, we can only speculate and wait for any possible confirmation in the future.

Kaido

Devil Fruit: Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu

Similar to Big Mom, it’s unclear if Kaido has activated the full potential of his Zoan-type Devil Fruit, often associated with an Awakened state. Mythical Zoan users typically unlock extraordinary transformations upon activating their fruit’s power.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but marvel at Kaido’s extraordinary transformations! His distinctive purple transformation and the subsequent flame dragon form certainly give rise to speculation about Devil Fruit Awakening. While fans might argue more compellingly for this theory with Kaido, it’s essential to remember that, much like Big Mom, there has been no definitive confirmation that he possesses Devil Fruit Awakening. So, even though he held the title of the strongest in the world at one point, we can’t be completely sure if he had this unique ability associated with his Devil Fruit.

Whitebeard

Devil Fruit: Gura Gura no Mi

Whitebeard, in his prime, was undoubtedly one of the most powerful men the world has ever known. He stood among an elite group of titans, being the sole pirate able to challenge Roger and engage in a fierce battle with him. Yet, beyond this, he possessed the potential to annihilate the entire planet itself.

For a substantial period of time, Whitebeard possessed the abilities granted by the Gura Gura no Mi, yet he never manifested the full power of a Devil Fruit awakening. It’s possible that an awakened form existed for his fruit, though it remained hidden from viewers throughout key events such as Marineford and his confrontation with Roger in the Oden flashback.
