In the realm of Necesse, I find myself immersed in the daily tasks of animal husbandry, a key aspect that’s as essential as tilling the soil or managing resources. Here, I am tasked with discovering, taming, and nurturing wild creatures to harvest unique resources from them. These resources prove indispensable for crafting potions, cooking delectable dishes, and creating various items. It’s a rewarding journey of care and companionship that adds depth to my in-game experience.
A variety of animals inhabit diverse regions across the globe, each living in distinct ecosystems as marked on the map. Among these, eight animals within the game offer advantages to the player; they can reproduce and yield resources. Simultaneously, there are two creatures that can be domesticated, and another pair remains untamed. You can acquire all of these animals either from the Itinerant Merchant or through Villages.
How to Lead Animals in Necesse
In the realm of Necesse, ropes are primarily discovered inside chests. However, they can also be obtained from either a Farmer or a Traveling Merchant. To guide an animal in the game, players should click on the selected rope while right-clicking on the desired animal. Once connected to an animal, lead it to a fenced enclosure where you can keep it. If players possess multiple ropes, they can control more than one animal at a time. Each rope is used up when attached to an animal but recovered once detached.

How to Manage Animals in Necesse
After acquiring animals for your farm, it’s essential to tame them prior to breeding. The taming or domestication process becomes straightforward when you have a feeding trough where wheat can be stored. If necessary, it can also be performed manually.
Feeding livestock with wheat gradually makes them more manageable, and if the player feeds an animal when it is satiated, it may produce offspring if another compatible animal is in close proximity. Maintain no more than 10 animals within an 8-tile radius to prevent overcrowding, which halts further reproduction. After reproducing once, the breeding pair will go into a reproductive cooldown for approximately 24 minutes.
