Previously, a developer who used to work with The Midnight Society has disclosed that both the studio and the team found out about Dr Disrespect’s termination at the exact same moment as everyone else around the globe.
In my gaming world, I recently stumbled upon a revealing post by HUN2R on what used to be Twitter, dishing out some insights into chats between Rich Cabrera, the tech guru from Midnight Society’s Directorship, and us fans. After the sad news about the studio closure broke, many of us in the community were left scratching our heads, wondering why they let Dr. Disrespect slip away. Well, according to Cabrera, it wasn’t a call made by “us, the studio and devs”; instead, the higher-ups took that decision into their hands. Just like us, we found out about it when the news hit the wire.
In the same conversation, Cabrera was also inquired about why their Studio hadn’t issued an NFT token, which could have potentially prevented their closure. Cabrera acknowledged they were developing a Token and discussing with potential launch platforms. Unfortunately, the shutdown happened too quickly, leaving them without time to carry out this plan.
For those who may not be aware, the game development studio known as Midnight Society has decided to discontinue their NFT-based shooter game titled DEADROP. Consequently, they are actively seeking gaming studios interested in hiring their skilled team members. The studio was initially founded by Dr Disrespect, but due to allegations against him last year, Midnight Society terminated their partnership with the streamer.
