My Hero Academia: All One For All Users, Ranked

Since its debut in 2016, My Hero Academia continues to captivate both novice anime viewers and long-time fans, with its compelling tale about extraordinary students testing their boundaries. This series is set in a universe where people are naturally endowed with special abilities, termed as Quirks. Some utilize these powers for the greater good, while others opt to cause chaos.

The narrative centers around Izuku Midoriya, a boy who was born without a superpower in a world where such abilities determine one’s fate. However, his life undergoes a transformation when he inherits One For All, a powerful Quirk that has been passed down through generations. This enables him to forge his own path as a hero. Here is a list of all the previous bearers of One For All, ranked according to their use of the Quirk:

9. Yoichi

First User of One For All

Yoichi was the original user of the One For All ability and the younger sibling of the notorious All For One. At first, he appeared weak in terms of physical strength and was thought to be Quirkless compared to his brother. However, it turned out that he did possess a unique Quirk, which enabled him to transfer his power to others. Eventually, when All For One forcibly granted him another Quirk, the combination of their abilities resulted in the formation of One For All.

In spite of his weak physique, Yoichi was fueled by a steadfast commitment to justice and vehemently disagreed with his brother’s tyrannical reign. Even though he lacked the strength to overcome All For One alone, he passed on One For All for future bearers.

8. Kudo

Second User of One For All

In the story, the one who took on the power of One For All, the second time around, was the leader of a rebellion group intending to thwart All For One. His unique ability, called Gearshift, enabled him to manipulate the speed of objects or individuals, be it increasing or decreasing their movements. This versatile power made him an effective and adaptable warrior in combat.

At first, Kudo aimed to eliminate Yoichi due to their mutual link with All For One. But upon learning that Yoichi shared his intense dislike for All For One, Kudo decided instead to team up with him. This alliance eventually contributed to the strengthening of One For All.

In a heroic struggle against All For One, Kudo sadly met his end. Yet, even in death, his bravery resulted in the transfer of his Quirk, further fortifying the power known as One For All.

7. Bruce

Third User of One For All

As a gamer, I found myself taking on the role of a valiant resistor in a rebellious faction, battling against the tyrannical rule of All For One. What truly set me apart was my unique ability, Fa Jin – a power that enabled me to accumulate kinetic energy through repeated motions and then unleash it in an instant, granting me temporary boosts of speed and strength beyond the norm.

As a gamer, I wielded an unmatched power with my Quirk, making me a force to be reckoned with in battle. Yet, even with my strength, I met my end at the hands of One For All. But before my final breath, I made sure that the legacy of One For All would live on by bestowing it upon Hikahe Shinomori.

6. Hikage Shinomori

Fourth User of One For All

Hikage Shinomori, the fourth owner of One For All, was the first to grasp its essence and boundaries. In contrast to his predecessors who battled against All For One head-on, Hikage opted for a distinct approach, concentrating on training and amassing power instead of immediately participating in combat.

Hikage’s unique ability, known as Danger Sense Quirk, enabled him to intuitively detect hostile intentions. This made him exceptionally alert to impending attacks and threats. A fascinating detail about Hikage emerged in understanding his demise. Unlike other users who met their end in combat, Hikage passed away at the age of 40 due to old age.

It appears that All Might’s records showed that those who possess the One For All Quirk tend to have shorter lifespans, with exceptions being those who were originally devoid of Quirks. Given Hikage already had a Quirk before acquiring One For All, the immense power progressively damaged his body over time.

5. Diagoro Banjo

Fifth User of One For All

Diagoro Banjo was the fifth individual to possess the One For All ability, differing significantly from many of its previous users. Unlike some of his predecessors, Banjo exhibited a spirited and energetic demeanor. He was self-assured, charming, and brimming with vitality. A formidable combatant, he frequently clashed with All For One, employing his Quirk, Blackwhip, in innovative ways during these battles.

Through a black energy cord, Banjo was able to produce and manage tendrils of power emanating from his physique, boosting his agility, extending his attack reach, and providing strong restraining force. Similar to other One For All users, Banjo unfortunately met his end in the fight against All For One.

Eventually, he met a fatal end when heavy debris and rubble crushed his body. Yet, even in such a sad demise, he managed to secure the continuation of One For All by transferring it to En prior to his last breath.

4. En

Sixth User of One For All

Diagoro selected En to assume his role as the One For All’s next user. En was characterized by a quiet and circumspect nature, favoring defensive strategies over head-on conflicts. His exceptional ability, Smokescreen, enabled him to create and disseminate a dense fog, hindering visibility and confusing adversaries.

One For All’s thief, All For One, made an attempt but ultimately did not succeed in acquiring the ability. Regrettably, just like other One For All users before him, En met his end at the hands of All For One. Yet, prior to his demise, Nana Shimura received the power of One For All as its next bearer.

3. Nana Shimura

Seventh User of One For All

Nana Shimura was the seventh wielder of One For All and served as All Might’s mentor. She had a significant impact on him, instilling in him the true essence of heroism. With her unique Quirk and ability to fly, Nana could swiftly traverse skies, offering unparalleled agility in combat.

Her skill turned her into a powerful combatant, quickly covering ground and effortlessly dodging assaults. For numerous people, she came to embody optimism.

Heartbreakingly, it was All For One who ended Nana’s life prematurely in a fateful fight. In her final moments, she sacrificed herself to shield others, a selfless act that has left me, Yagi, grappling with an unrelenting feeling of guilt. Yet, before her passing, she bestowed upon Toshinori the mighty power of One For All, recognizing in him the chosen one who would continue the legacy of vanquishing All For One.

2. Yagi Toshinori

Eighth User of One For All

Known predominantly by his alias All Might, Yagi Toshinori stood out among all heroes. What set him apart was his extraordinary strength and unyielding aura of heroism. At the peak of his powers, he was admired and respected by many as the Embodiment of Peace.

As a gamer, I’d say: My Quirk, One For All, granted me unparalleled superhuman might, agility, and endurance. During that era, All Might’s power was scarcely rivaled, and unlike past bearers, I could fully harness the potential of One For All.

After a crushing clash with All For One, I endured a catastrophic injury that left me shattered both physically and mentally. Over time, this wound took its toll on my body, making it impossible for me to fully harness the power of One For All. Eventually, I passed the Quirk onto Izuku Midoriya (Deku), thus concluding my era as the world’s mightiest hero.

Despite losing his original authority, he persisted in acting as a mentor to Deku and the emerging group of heroes, imparting valuable lessons about the authentic spirit of heroism.

Ninth User of One For All

In this story, we follow Izuku Midoriya, more commonly called Deku, who is the ninth bearer of the One For All quirk and the main character. He obtained this powerful ability from All Might. Yet, when Izuku initially received the quirk, his body couldn’t handle its immense power, making it challenging for him to wield effectively.

As time went by, with rigorous practice and support from those who had used One For All before him (the remnants), Izuku eventually tapped into the complete power of his ability.

He demonstrated exceptional mastery over the Quirk, being the initial user to concurrently utilize the capabilities of the vestiges and the strength of One For All at once. It’s safe to say that he has solidified his status as the most potent and remarkable wielder of this extraordinary ability.
