Attention! This discussion may reveal plot points from Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 16, titled “Degesu”, which is currently available on Crunchyroll. Proceed with caution if you wish to avoid spoilers.
In the ongoing adventure of “Dragon Ball DAIMA”, our heroes approach the First Demon World, edging ever closer to a climactic end. However, numerous challenges lie ahead for Goku and his companions. Although numerous soldiers have been vanquished, the formidable Gendarmerie Force remains unconquered. The sinister duo of Majin Kuu and Majin Duu are looming in the distance, while Dr. Arinsu’s intricate scheme with Glorio seems to be nearing completion. Despite his recent absence from the spotlight, the Supreme Demon King Gomah may yet have the opportunity to shift the tides in “Dragon Ball DAIMA”.
At the onset of Dragon Ball DAIMA, Supreme Demon King Gomah appeared as a formidably enigmatic figure. His scheme involved employing Shenron to reduce people to child sizes, and he collaborated with Degesu in abducting Dende to hinder the use of Dragon Balls from reversing their actions. However, since then, Gomah has seemed less like the main danger to Earth’s heroes. It was Dr. Arinsu and the Majins who appeared to be the real adversaries, but Supreme Demon King Gomah could potentially alter everything with The Third Eye. Goku and his companions have now reached the First Demon World, defeating most of Gomah’s troops with King Kadan’s assistance. Nevertheless, the race to save Dende and restore everyone to their adult bodies persists.
Dragon Ball DAIMA Finally Reaches Dende at Degesu’s Last Stand
After the Gendarmerie are defeated, Piccolo proposes they capture Dende first instead of confronting the final Tamagami immediately. The Supreme Kai concurs, but there are some complications. To put it mildly, there are five complications. In a show of their namesake, the Gendarmerie Force, mirroring the Ginyu Force, perform an elaborate and ostentatious posing sequence before Captain Kadem begins his speech, which Vegeta dismisses with a simple “save it.” Hillia takes the initiative to fight Vegeta, boasting he can handle this “nuisance” and fires a laser blast from his rocket launcher. However, due to Vegeta’s incredible speed, the blast is deflected back at Hillia. Danima and Mashim follow suit but are quickly pushed back. They seem to be the ones who defeated Majin Buu and the Tamagamis, according to Gaimoi. Captain Kadem attempts to strike Vegeta with his sword, but he’s also knocked down in a single punch.
Recognizing their disadvantage at this stage, Kadem proposes they launch “their signature move” before advancing and unleashing a fireball as large as a basketball towards Vegeta’s feet. However, the Saiyan remains unfazed by the attack. Kadem then gathers energy for a fireball the size of a boulder while the others prepare to strike, but Danima struggles to find her position. In an instant, Vegeta, moving too fast to be seen by the eye, deflects Danima’s weapon and strikes Kadem so forcefully that his hand starts glowing red and pulsating. The fireball itself lands harmlessly on the ground without causing injury, and King Kadem’s soldiers swiftly apprehend the Gendarmerie Force. Meanwhile, Goku, sensing Dende’s energy nearby, dashes off to locate him with Vegeta, Piccolo, and Supreme Kai. Meanwhile, the girl that Degesu recruited in the last episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA is meandering through the palace trying to collect her payment.
Gaimoi suggests these might actually be the guys that beat Majin Buu and the Tamagamis
In summary, Goku and companions arrive at an airport where Degesu is attempting to flee with Dende, holding a gun to the baby. As Degesu aims to become the Supreme Demon King himself, Panzy attempts to surprise him with an electrified flyswatter, but Hybis’s yellow hat unexpectedly strikes Degesu instead. Dende is sent flying, but Panzy manages to catch him safely. It becomes clear that Glorio saved Dende from danger, and Degesu is quickly apprehended by King Kadan’s troops. Meanwhile, Supreme Demon King Gomah watches the events unfold on a magic viewing screen and rejoices at Degesu’s failure. However, when Gomah starts to worry about his next move, a girl arrives seeking payment for a hat she received in exchange for an ex-boyfriend’s gift belt. Excitedly, Gomah realizes he has finally obtained The Third Eye.
From my vantage point, a band of individuals, guided by Glorio’s advice, make their way to Tamagami Number One. However, it’s Panzy who notices an unexpected absence – the Demon Realm Dragon Ball. As Dr. Arinsu, Majin Kuu, and Majin Duu approach, they stroll into the courtyard, seemingly unaware of the turmoil. Glorio might be acting surprised to maintain the facade, but his expression hints at genuine worry upon seeing Dr. Arinsu.
Meanwhile, within the palace, Gomah is in a frenzy, attempting to retrieve The Third Eye from his belt. After much struggle, he manages with a plunger. At first hesitant, Gomah eventually persuades someone (I couldn’t identify who) to place The Third Eye right on his forehead. With each push, it’s a challenge to get it to adhere, but eventually, it settles. As soon as it does, Gomah is overwhelmed by the newfound power and starts undergoing a transformation.
Once the girl exits with a heap of treasure, the metamorphosis intensifies, causing Gomah to swell in size. Now infused with the same force that once restrained Abura and even Dabura, Supreme Demon King Gomah might have just become the most formidable adversary in the world of Dragon Ball DAIMA.
