Jurassic World Rebirth has released a new teaser, along with a release date for the first trailer.
In the trailer, two main characters, Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, are spotted in a vast expanse of tall grass (a nod to true JP fans). Johansson appears lost in thought, while Bailey spins around, catching sight of a dinosaur’s long tail, hidden just beyond the camera. His response? “Oh my god!” And that’s where the teaser ends.
The caption on the authentic X website reads, “A surprise is approaching.” This phrase can be interpreted in two ways: it hints at the upcoming trailer airing on Wednesday, as well as the mysterious dinosaur that seems to have the characters feeling uneasy.
What Is The Plot Of Jurassic World Rebirth? Is Chris Pratt Back?
This is the official synopsis:
Five years post-Jurassic World Dominion, Earth’s environment has largely become unsuitable for dinosaurs, with those surviving found in secluded equatorial zones mirroring their ancient habitats. In this lush tropical ecosystem, the three largest creatures are pivotal to a drug that promises incredible lifesaving advantages for mankind.
Johansson, Marershala Ali, and Bailey form a team assembled by a pharmaceutical organization with an interest in studying or utilizing the “tremendous beings”.
Based on available public data, none of the characters from the prior trilogy are appearing in Rebirth. This aligns with my understanding, as the title suggests a new beginning or a fresh start for the storyline.
Gareth Edwards Was Inspired By A Different Spielberg Movie
Known as one of cinema’s most brilliant directors, Steven Spielberg was behind both “Jurassic Park” and “The Lost World.” Subsequent installments in the series, however, deviated significantly from Spielberg’s distinctive style and intellectual flair – a shift that many viewers and critics have acknowledged.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve noticed a significant shift between the original and the remake of Rebirth – a change that director Gareth Edwards graciously elaborated on during his chat with Entertainment Weekly.
Jurassic Park pioneered computer graphics, but it seems we’ve veered off course in pursuit of grand spectacle. Interestingly, Jurassic Park used only a handful of visual effects shots, yet it remains incredibly impactful. The goal was to recapture the magic of those old tricks and concepts that build anticipation and tension, making you hold your breath in suspense. I wanted to evoke the sense of wonder I felt as a child when confronted by these incredible creatures.
In the same conversation, I proudly admitted that the works of the legendary Steven Spielberg have been a significant source of inspiration for me. Among his masterpieces, the chilling tale of “Jaws” left an indelible mark on my creative journey.
This film feels like an affectionate tribute to the early works of Steven Spielberg, and it frequently evokes memories of “Jaws”. It’s a delightful compilation of all those elements from his movies that I cherished as a child, making it something akin to a mini-epic journey through this island, essentially a survival tale.
When Will Jurassic World Rebirth Come Out?
The theatrical release date is July 2, 2025.
