In the latest episode of Solo Leveling, the significant moment centered around Sung Jin-woo and Cha Hae-in’s encounter. While Sung Jin-woo was locked within the dungeon, testing the power of its boss, Cha Hae-in, a high-ranking hunter, stumbled upon him outside the door during her regular patrol. A Man Who Lived Two Lives
Sung Jin-woo Is Reminded Of His Old Teammates
In his work as a miner, Sung Jin-woo found echoes of his days as an E-rank Hunter. Song Jin-Yul and Lee Joohee consistently showed him kindness regardless of his low rank, much like the miners around him displayed excitement. This enthusiasm brought back memories for Sung Jin-woo. Following another round of mining, Sung Jin-woo was offered the chance to join the strike team as their equipment carrier. Despite the miner’s attempts to dissuade him, he had already decided. Preparing himself, Sung Jin-woo got ready to venture with them into the dungeon.
Upon stepping inside, Sung Jin-woo quickly sensed an uneasy atmosphere. Yet, one of the mages calmly assured him not to worry. Shortly after passing through the gate, the team was ambushed by jackals from the dungeon. Sung Jin-woo observed that these beasts had collars around their necks, hinting they were being held as pets.
Attack Of The Higher Orcs
Following their victory over the jackal pack, the strike team discovered who their owners were. A group of powerful High Orcs appeared, and they swiftly counterattacked the strike team. Despite having several elite A-rank Hunters, the High Orcs managed to drive them back. If it weren’t for Sung Jin-woo’s quick thinking and use of stealth to surprise attack the High Orcs, the entire team would likely have been overwhelmed.
Following their victory against the High Orcs, the team chose to return to the gate, intending to hand over control to the main group. However, they were taken aback to find the gate obstructed by a barricade. Three magic users attempted to dismantle it, but their efforts backfired disastrously. Matters worsened as another band of High Orcs appeared from behind them. Son Kihoon moved forward to confront the High Orc. To their surprise, the High Orc was possessed by Kargalgan, the dungeon master. Kargalgan presented them with a choice: join the High Orcs to meet him or face certain death at the hands of the High Orcs. Given the circumstances, Son Kihoon opted for the more logical decision and approached the boss.
