Nintendo Switch 2 Might Provide ‘Real Energy’ for FC and Madden, Says EA

EA has hinted at the possibility that series such as Madden and FIFA could potentially tap into ‘authentic power’ when played on the Nintendo Switch 2.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve learned from an IGN report that during a recent earnings call, Andrew Wilson, the CEO of EA, was asked about the potential focus on Nintendo Switch 2. In response, he viewed a new console in the market as a beneficial situation, enabling them to attract fresh players. Moreover, he mentioned that their popular franchises have historically thrived on Nintendo’s platforms.

In a subsequent part of the conversation, the CEO of EA outlined some of their top-selling series, specifically EA Sports FC and Madden, suggesting that these titles could potentially thrive on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, as they have done so in previous generations. Additionally, Wilson offered an illustrative example using The Sims and My Sims snug package, highlighting how it exceeded expectations, with approximately half of its players being new to EA.

According to EA, their current models don’t show anything promising right now. But, when a fantastic new gaming console is launched, it could open up opportunities to connect with new gamers and groups. To take advantage of these possibilities, EA is in search of an Intellectual Property (IP).

1. Version 24 of EA Sports Football Club is currently up for sale on the Nintendo Switch, and future instalments of the series are expected to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. A notable development would be the inclusion of Madden NFL games, as none from that series have been released on Nintendo’s popular console yet. It will also be intriguing to observe whether these franchises can find renewed vitality on this platform, since EA Sports FC has faced some difficulties recently.
