In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, at some point, you’ll encounter an intriguing side mission. Your task will be to sneak into a fortified military base with the objective of pilfering King Sigismund’s elite sausages, a luxury item reserved only for royalty. But be warned, the camp is swarming with guards and you’ll have to find ways to circumvent them as you approach the gates.

Let’s discuss the best approach for providing a meal for the less fortunate, and let’s find an effortless method to obtain the sausages from the campsite.

How to Solve Feast for the Poor

The “Feast for the Poor” mission may initially appear straightforward, but it’s quite deceptive. Venturing into the camp under cover of darkness could potentially lead to problems since there are numerous guards constantly on patrol.

If you’re up for taking on a challenge, consider disguising yourself in either dark or light attire and make your move when you’ve distracted the guard at the gate with a stone. Head towards the back of the camp, marked by the blue circle in the image below. There, you’ll spot a barn with a conspicuous side window. This could be your entry point.

Should you ascend through that window, it will lead you to the attic of a barn filled with hay. This vantage point offers an excellent approach to the campsite without encountering any guards.

Rather than searching the camp for the sausages, simply go to the green marker on my map up there. You’ll come across a painted chest inside a tent with a circular design – it is this chest that holds the sausages.

Unfortunately, the lock is extremely tough, so unless you’re quite skilled at picking locks, you might have to either find and steal the keys from a guard by stealth or force, or else you could try to find another way to obtain them. Once you’ve managed to get the keys, then you can retrieve the sausages.

Keep in mind that the extra goal is to place a head of cabbage inside the box, but don’t worry too much if you accidentally overlook it as it won’t significantly change the final result.

Spoiler Note:

Once you finish the primary storyline, the camp will become accessible without restriction, letting you stroll in peacefully in search of the sausages. However, securing entry through the gates may require finding the keys or successfully picking the lock; yet, during this time, guards won’t confront or attack you.

Once you’ve secured the sausages, you are free to depart on the next leg of your journey. Your destination is Kuttenberg, where you should look for individuals asking for alms in the streets. Offer them sausages and select one as the primary benefactor, the one who will be credited for the donation.
