Where to Find Sam in Reckoning

As I embark on this adventure, I’ll find myself positioned to the north of the village following my descent from the imposing walls of Suchdol Fortress. My goal will be to stealthily cross the road, blending into the wilderness and vegetation that borders the temporary structures of Suchdol village.

This mission is thrilling due to the constant danger – Praguers are everywhere, and they’re hostile towards you. The entire area is under strict surveillance with a shoot-to-kill policy, and you’re operating independently. If a confrontation arises, it means game over, and you can’t escape until you complete certain tasks.

Initially, there are some crucial steps not explicitly pointed out by quest markers or hints. Make your way to the orange dot on the map, situated a bit outside the village walls. At this spot, you’ll encounter a pair of guards having quiet conversations. Move stealthily close enough to listen in, and you’ll pick up two vital pieces of information.

  • The password to the gate
  • The location of a disguise

If you prefer, feel free to make a beeline for the blue circle and open the unfastened box there to collect your disguise. This way, you can move about the village without drawing much attention.

Now, let’s find Sam in Reckoning.

With your disguise on, you can walk unhindered right up to the purple-marked spot. Follow the path upward via a ladder, then enter the barn to set off a cutscene and locate Sam.

If you choose not to wear a disguise, it’s crucial that you always have an abundance of Saviour Schnapps potions on hand for frequent restorative drinks.

How to Get von Aulitz in Reckoning

In this location, you’ll discover that von Aulitz is indeed alive, giving you the task of handling him and earning one of the game’s unique accomplishments. This part can be quite challenging if you haven’t acquired your disguise yet, but if you have, you’ll need to navigate to the red marker on the map to locate von Aulitz’s chambers.

If asked for the password at the gate, you’ll have it, assuming you overheard the previous discussion. Otherwise, you’ll need to bypass the guards and locate a hidden entrance, possibly creating a distraction by tossing rocks to divert them from the scrutiny area.

You’ll find the door to von Aulitz’s private chamber securely locked with an extremely tough lock, but the guard stationed by the fireplace is unaccompanied and carries the key in his pocket. After eliminating him, you have two options:

1. Hide his body discreetly in a nearby room.
2. Subtly take the key from his pocket without causing any harm, thus avoiding any violence or bloodshed.

Enter the building to deal with von Aulitz.

Where is the Horse in Reckoning?
