Pizza Hut’s New Ramen Pizza: Jiro Style with Noodles and Backfat Pork!

Summary

  • Pizza Hut’s unique ramen pizza based on Jiro style is exclusively in Japan until March 9.
  • Indulgent toppings include backfat pork and noodles on the crust for an authentic ramen experience.
  • Priced at $19.47, it’s only available for a limited time.

Pizza Hut recently launched a new “Jiro-inspired” Ramen Pizza, but unfortunately, it can only be tasted in Japan at this time, as it is exclusively offered in that country.

Over time, Pizza Hut has come up with some unique creations aimed at catching attention, such as launching a Pizza Hut wine in 2024 that took customers by surprise. The brand has also partnered with various external parties, like anime or video games such as Genshin Impact, but the pizza we’re talking about here is still quite distinctive.

In Japan, Pizza Hut has introduced their Jiro-inspired ramen pizza, named “Pork Hut Thick-Cut Rich Backfat Soy Sauce Ramen Pizza.” This unique creation resembles Jiro-style ramen, a variant that’s richer and more topped than standard versions. It is adorned with multiple eggs, generous amounts of chashu pork, and an abundance of bean sprouts. To emulate this style, the pizza boasts actual ramen noodles on the crust, along with cabbage, chashu pork, pork back fat, and a garlic and pork bone-based sauce. Given its indulgent nature, Pizza Hut is also offering an Oolong Tea combo to help balance the richness.

Pizza Hut Fans Can’t Wait Too Long on Ramen Pizza

The price of the pizza is 2,940 yen when you include tea with delivery, or 2,750 yen without tea for delivery. In US dollars, that’s approximately $19.47 or $18.21, respectively. If you happen to be in the area, you can also get a discount by picking up the pizza instead of having it delivered. It’s worth noting that while Pizza Hut has offered ramen-style pizzas before, this specific flavor is only available for about a month starting from February 3rd and lasting until March 9th. Limited-time food items like these are quite common in Japan, making it hard to resist trying them out.

It appears that ramen pizza, a unique blend of Japanese and Western cuisines, won’t be exported beyond Japan at this time. This might disappoint ramen lovers worldwide, as it’s not likely to be popular enough for Pizza Hut outlets in other countries to consider offering it. Collaborations between fast food chains and anime often remain exclusive to Japan, so western fans may need to wait or look for alternatives if they want to taste this Pizza Hut specialty.
