12 years following the release of “Delta Force: Black Hawk Down” by Novalogic, Team Jade is reintroducing the series to the bustling cityscape of Mogadishu through their latest campaign.
On February 21st, the “Black Hawk Down” campaign for the freshly released free-to-play version of “Delta Force” will be available to play.
As you may have anticipated, the developers revealed the release date through a brief promotional video that depicted Black Hawk helicopters plummeting.
Black Hawk Down Campaign Details
Last month, during a live broadcast, the members of Team Jade shared insights about what to expect, such as the duration of the campaign and specific mission information. This campaign will be launched within Season 2 of the game, which is also recognized as Starfall.
The upcoming Delta Force campaign, titled “Black Hawk Down,” consists of seven thrilling missions that unfold amidst the Battle of Mogadishu, also recognized as Operation Gothic Serpent. These events marked a significant juncture in the UNOSOM II mission during the Somali Civil War.
The original Novalogic game, which was based on the same historical events in Somalia in 1993, featured a variety of missions carried out by Delta Force operators. In contrast, the new Delta Force game draws substantial inspiration from Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down film and related literature about the operation.
Team Jade is set to embark on their inaugural project, which aims to create a cinematic game campaign for both solo and cooperative play.
It’s generally believed that this campaign demonstrates a powerful performance, emphasizing once more the importance of compelling narratives, despite the fact that many genres have been dominated by multiplayer seasonal content for quite some time.

Instead of making you assume the role of a single character, the Delta Force campaign lets you switch among members from the 75th Rangers Regiment and Delta Force (formally known as the 1st Special Forces Detachment-Delta).
As a gamer, I’m unsure if I’ll get to experience the missions through the eyes of the 10th Mountain Division, but it seems they’ll be part of the action along with Malaysian and Pakistani peacekeepers in this game we’re about to dive into.
