Control 2 Entered Full Production this Month

Remedy Entertainment has revealed that Control 2 entered full production in February 2025.

Today, Remedy Entertainment disclosed their financial report and provided updates on the progress of Control 2. The developers stated that the game is currently in the process of completing its “final preparations for full-scale production,” commencing full production in February of this year following the last quarter of the previous year. They have confirmed the rate at which assets are being created, established production channels, and now stand ready to ramp up for complete, large-scale production.

Beyond just Control 2, Remedy Entertainment is actively developing remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2 as well, making significant advancements. According to Remedy, these developments are moving towards crucial development milestones, with Rockstar Games as their collaborator. Additionally, FBC: Firebreak, the studio’s debut multiplayer game, is also in full swing. The developers have been testing match-making and technical aspects during a private technical trial. Their intention is to release this game independently in 2025.

Additionally, Remedy announced they assumed control over “publishing operations related to management and community involvement previously handled by 505 Games” during the latter half of 2024. They are gearing up for their 30th anniversary in 2025, which they’ve described as their most significant year as both a developer and publisher thus far.
