11 Bit Studios has postponed The Alters yet again, as announced through a social media post early this morning.

On their official social media platform, it was announced that the initial Q1 2025 launch date for the game has been moved to a later period within the same year. A precise timeframe was not disclosed at this point.

Although we understand this might not be the news you were expecting, we’re using this extra time to perfect mission details and make sure all critical systems live up to Ally Corp’s high standards. Moreover, it gives us an opportunity to incorporate new improvements into Project Dolly, promising a more thrilling and fulfilling deployment than initially anticipated.

They added: “Extra time given will help fine-tune each part of Project Dolly for optimal performance, resulting in advantages for our company and undeniably for you as well.

As a passionate admirer, let me share my excitement about an extraordinary game titled The Alters. For those who might be new to this galactic adventure, The Alters is a captivating blend of science fiction, survival, exploration, and base-building, all wrapped up in an emotional rollercoaster. You find yourself stepping into the shoes of Jan Dolski, the sole survivor of a disastrous space expedition, stranded on a hostile planet. Your mission? To craft various iterations of Jan to ensure our protagonist’s safe escape from this alien world.

Back in June of 2022, the game was first unveiled. Once it’s finally launched, players can access The Alters on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers. Additionally, it will be offered through Xbox Game Pass as well.
