The Last of Us Potential Season Count Revealed

Although we haven’t fully outlined our final schedule, it appears we may be dividing the project into approximately four parts. Although HBO hasn’t officially confirmed any seasons past the second for “The Last of Us”, based on recent comments, it appears that Season 3 is highly likely. Creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have stated they don’t plan to tell any stories beyond the games. So, when the series wraps up the storyline from “The Last of Us Part 2”, it will conclude (unless Naughty Dog decides to produce a third “The Last of Us” game).

It’s worth noting that The Last of Us Part 2 is significantly larger than its predecessor, but we don’t know yet how far into the story Season 2 of the video game will delve.
