As they battle through a throng of dangerous new adversaries and familiar antagonists like the homicidal clown Sweet Tooth, complications arise for John when he encounters his estranged sister, the vigilante Dollface.

In the upcoming season, Anthony Mackie (known for his role as Captain America in “Brave New World”) returns, portraying the character of John Doe – a man who has lost his memory and works as a delivery driver.

In 2023, the debut season of Twisted Metal, jointly produced by Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions, premiered on Peacock. By the end of that year, plans for a second season had been approved.

The television show is indeed modeled after the vehicle combat video game franchise, but unfortunately, the video game series that inspired it has ceased to exist. “Twisted Metal,” which was the latest addition to the franchise, was published in 2012 on the PS3 by David Jaffe’s studio, Eat Sleep Play.
