Labeled a Special Grade sorcerer, Yuta’s impact on numerous pivotal battles was immense. Although he didn’t initially join the main cast at the beginning of “JJK,” his impact on the storyline grew dramatically as the plot unfolded.
In essence, Yuta played a pivotal part during the Culling Game and Shinjuku Showdown storylines, providing fans with satisfying character development and thrilling combat scenes. His character’s conclusion in JJK ranks among the best, even though he had numerous indications of his demise throughout the series.
Yuta Vs Sukuna

- Yuta Took Part In The Phenomenal Battle Vs Sukuna
- Yuta Weakened Sukuna Considerably
From the beginning, it was clear that Yuta would play a crucial part against Sukuna, the Curse King. Following Gojo’s defeat and demise, the responsibility for turning the tide in the battle fell upon the new generation of sorcerers. In contrast to his peers, Yuta faced a unique challenge: defeating Kenjaku, the secondary antagonist during the Shinjuku Showdown arc. Remarkably, with Todo’s assistance, he managed to appear behind Kenjaku after his fight against Takaba and swiftly decapitate him. This decisive move significantly altered the course of the war; without Yuta’s victory, the outcome would likely have been very different. Afterward, all the curses within Kenjaku that Rika, the Queen of Curses, had subdued were successfully eliminated.

In the interim, Sukuna had successfully confronted his team consisting of Yuji, Higuruma, Choso, and Ino. With Higuruma eliminated from the scene, Yuta and the Queen of Curses entered the fray, providing spectators with an incredible battle to behold.

After utilizing his Domain Expansion called Authentic Mutual Love without delay, it was thrilling to watch as Yuta accessed his borrowed abilities. Rapidly releasing one power after another, he managed to trap Sukuna in a corner, suggesting that this fight might have concluded then and there, allowing Megumi to awaken and accept Yuji’s assistance. However, Megumi declined the help, causing their strategy to fall apart. As a result, Yuta was wounded by a World Splitting Dismantle and forced off the battlefield.
Due to Rika’s assistance, Yuta miraculously lived through a situation that claimed Gojo’s life instantly. Meanwhile, Ui Ui’s sibling, Mei Mei, swiftly transferred Yuta to Shook, enabling him to participate in the battle’s subsequent round shortly afterward. If the initial fight in Shinjuku was thrilling, the second one was simply mind-boggling, at least for a while.
How Yuta Switched To Gojo’s Body
Yuta Dared To Carry Gojo’s Burden After Him
After Yuta Okkotsu fell in battle, it became clear that it was now Yuji’s turn to step up. Yet, it wasn’t as if Yuta was completely out of the picture either. Despite their impressive performance against Sukuna, Yuji and his team couldn’t shake off Yuta’s concern for their victory. While recovering from his injuries, Yuta found a way to assist them by taking control of Gojo’s body instead of relying on Kenjaku’s cursed technique. By using the body-hopping ability, Yuta was able to enter Gojo’s body and employed the powerful Reverse Cursed Technique to heal himself as much as possible.

Moments subsequently, spectators witnessed Gojo on the battlefield again, but this time it was Yuta occupying his body. Utilizing Gojo’s abilities, Yuta proved to be a formidable adversary for Sukuna, as evident by his use of Unlimited Void. In fact, he unleashed a powerful Hollow Purple attack during the battle against Sukuna, an assault that potentially could have ended the fight if not for Yuta’s struggle with controlling the Limitless technique and the Hollow Purple. Although Yuta’s abilities put him in a favorable position, his victory was elusive due to the challenge of harnessing these powers effectively. Regrettably, overexertion ultimately led to him running out of time.
When Yuta’s skill exhausted, he became inactive during the fight that followed, marking the conclusion of his role in the Shinjuku Showdown storyline. Although Yuta’s impact may not have been as significant as some, it played a crucial part in Yuji’s victory – a fact that everyone can admire.
After the war, it became clear that Yuta had miraculously returned to his own physical form due to Rika’s help, whereas the details about Gojo’s body and its outcome were never disclosed in the narrative. Post this event, Yuta was not only restored but also emerged stronger than ever before, assuming a leadership role among the upcoming generation of sorcerers.
Yuta As The Gojo Family’s Acting Head
Yuta Became The Gojo Family’s Head
Even though Yuta’s conclusion was quite good, Gege significantly elevated it in the JJK prologue and made substantial enhancements. It turned out that by some point after the war, Yuta had assumed leadership of the Gojo Clan. By the year 2035, he was still in charge of the clan. Notably, when Panda ceased functioning permanently, it was Yuta who kept him in storage at the Gojo Clan facilities.
In the year 2080, it became apparent that Yuta had become a grandfather, and his fans were able to recognize his two grandkids. The older male grandchild bears a striking resemblance to Megumi Fushiguro, while the female one looks like Yuta himself, suggesting that Yuta indeed married Maki, who was his primary love interest. Though we haven’t seen their children yet in JJK, fans did get a glimpse of Yuta’s grandchildren instead, which adds an emotional touch to his storyline in JJK.
Additionally, considering the magnitude of his power and the untapped potential he still had, it’s plausible that Yuta might have grown to be the most powerful sorcerer in time. However, whether this comes true or not is yet to be determined, depending on the author’s creative direction.
At long last, the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, numbered as JJK 271, was published on September 29, 2024. Readers can enjoy this captivating series through the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
