The much-anticipated global release of Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium on Steam is now live, and the game’s Very Positive review score indicates that the launch is going exceptionally well for GFL2. The excitement has drawn both new and seasoned fans to experience this long-awaited sequel, which was previously exclusive to the CN region over the past year. The updated graphics and breathtaking new artwork mark a significant improvement from the original game, broadening its appeal among a larger audience.
For novice players diving into GFL2, the wealth of fresh narrative, gameplay elements, resources to handle, and many other facets might initially seem overwhelming. To complicate matters further, there’s an extensive roster of new and returning T-Dolls available for team composition, each with unique strengths and weaknesses. It can be tempting to select team members based on their appearance, but assembling the optimal T-Doll lineup is vital for achieving success in its assorted missions, trials, and boss fights.
As a gamer, I’ve come to find that some of these T-Dolls can be obtained via premium gacha, which could be either Standard or Targeted Procurement Tickets. Now, it’s good to know that these tickets can be bought from the store, but let me clarify that it’s not compulsory. In fact, there are plenty of rewards that you can earn just by playing the game itself.
1. Tololo
Good Damage-Dealer
In simpler terms, Tololo is an advanced doll from GFL2, serving as a viable choice for mid-range damage infliction on specific targets. She possesses the unique ability to dish out damage in both hydro and physical forms, utilizing AR-class weapons like the Model Alpha.
This figure boasts a diverse set of skills that deal either hydro or physical damage, offering greater adaptability in battles based on the opposition. One of its most appealing features is its passive skill, which instantly maximizes its Confection Index at the outset of battle. If this index is preserved until the end of her turn, it provides an extra action, essentially giving her two actions during a single round.
While Tololo excels at dishing out damage with Automatic Rifles (ARs), it’s important to note that her passive ability works best when she’s part of a Hydro team. However, the Extra Action passive skill she possesses can significantly alter the course of a battle, even for just one turn. With her immense damage output, particularly when employing her ultimate, Tololo is another excellent AR choice for swiftly defeating individual targets.
At the moment, you can access Tololo via a feature called “Targeted Acquisition Access” which can be found within the Recruitment menu.
2. Daiyan
Best Doll For Damage-Dealing & Utility
In simpler terms, Daiyan is an exceptional doll introduced during the “Amidst Wings of Gray” event. Right now, she’s a top choice due to her versatility as both a powerful attacker and a valuable utility member for teams. Unlike many other dolls, she only inflicts physical damage and doesn’t have any abilities that deal elemental damage. By default, she carries the Type 95 weapon in the Assault Rifle (AR) class.
This character stands out for her exceptional mobility and talent in stripping buffs from opponents, removing one per attack. This trait proves particularly valuable in battles against elite or boss enemies who often possess unique and significantly stronger buffs than regular foes. What makes this doll special is that she exclusively deals physical damage, lacking the elemental abilities common among other dolls. While this might not seem ideal at first glance, her ability to disrupt enemies enables her to weaken them sufficiently for a powerful counterattack when utilized effectively.
Mentioned earlier, Daiyan does not inflict elemental damage but compensates for this with an ability to destabilize opponents. However, inflicting elemental damage would be more beneficial because it can complement other dolls with the same damage type. Nevertheless, Daiyan remains one of the top choices due to her capacity to dish out substantial damage and strengthen the team by reducing enemy stability.
Currently, Daiyan isn’t available as her event has concluded, but it’s expected that she’ll return in the future.
Alternative: Consider using Tololo as an AR Damage Dealer in the meantime.
3. Makiatto
Best SR Doll For Damage-Dealing
In the Rhapsody Quartet event of GFL2, Makiatto is an exceptional doll introduced, standing out as the top choice for long-range attackers due to her high damage potential. Similar to some of the most renowned anime characters, she specializes in freeze damage and wields weapons from the SR category, with the W2000 SR being her standard equipment.
Her “Complete Mental Barrier” ultimate triggers allied offensive moves, enabling them to retaliate against approaching enemies. A crucial aspect of this ability is it grants her a protective shield, activating her vigilance mode and shielding teammates within her vicinity from incoming attacks. This feature becomes particularly potent because she intercepts enemy attacks before they strike, potentially taking out the attackers before they can inflict harm on their targets.
Makiatto stands out with no significant drawbacks, making her a top-tier choice among SR dolls. She excels at dishing out substantial damage from a distance and simultaneously offers defensive assistance to her team.
At the moment, Makiatto isn’t available as her event has concluded, but it’s expected that she’ll return at some point in the future.
Alternative: Consider using Nemesis as an SR Damage Dealer in the meantime.
4. Qiongjiu
Best AR Doll For Damage-Dealing
In the world of GFL2, I’m proud to be known as Qiongjiu, an elite doll who’s making waves with her exceptional damage-dealing abilities. I’ve earned a reputation that makes me the top choice for offensive strategies, outshining most opponents. My specialty lies in burn damage and I wield AR weapons, my default being the powerful QBZ 191 AR. Newcomers to Girls’ Frontline 2 might even find themselves re-rolling just to get a chance at having me on their team!
Qiongjiu’s Ultimate is a self-enhancing skill that primarily boosts her damage potential. It accumulates 3 layers of Action Support II, a +30% bonus on Action Support, and an extra Action Support. This means that when her Confectance Index is at its peak, her damage multiplier can reach 450% with each cast. Moreover, her ultimate has no cool-down period, and the Action Support II enhancement doesn’t dissipate. Therefore, it accumulates with repeated uses.
In GFL2, Qiongjiu currently lacks significant drawbacks. While she doesn’t offer direct team utility or support through her abilities, her extremely high damage output serves as a formidable support in every scenario, particularly during Elite encounters and challenging boss fights.
Currently, you can get hold of Qiongjiu via the “Specialized Acquisition” option, which can be found under the Recruitment menu.
5. Suomi
Best Doll For Support & Utility
In this tactical role-playing game, Suomi is an exceptional doll and one of the top choices. She’s versatile and can perform effectively across various battlefronts, particularly as a team supporter. Her unique ability lies in inflicting freeze damage, and she typically wields the Suomi KP-31 SMG. Beyond her supportive role, Suomi is capable of dishing out substantial damage individually, which makes her an excellent multi-purpose addition to any team.
In simpler terms, Suomi’s special move, “Snowfield’s Radiance”, creates a protective shield for all teammates on the map, making them resilient against regular attacks. It works best when Suomi is positioned safely outside of the main battle, allowing her to repeatedly activate this ability and keep her allies protected. Moreover, this ability restores Suomi’s balance, removes any negative effects, and clears the taunt debuff from all other team members.
In essence, while Suomi has a limited range for movements and primarily focuses on defensive capabilities, the advantage lies in her immense power that makes her an indispensable asset to nearly any team.
You can currently access Suomi via the “[Specific Purchase Access]” option, which can be found within the Recruitment menu.
