Mojang consistently introduces new blocks into the game, thereby expanding the creative possibilities for players. Recently, a gamer unveiled their interpretation of an impressive Maya temple, which they strategically placed in a sunlit mountain clearing.

Reddit user ChakaCausey recently posted a video featuring their creatively designed Maya-inspired temple in Minecraft. Surrounded by Diorite, Stone, and Granite remnants from an exploded mountain, the temple’s base serves as a foundation constructed with Minecraft TNT. A cascading waterfall originates at the mountain peak, flowing into a lily pad-covered moat beneath the temple. Spiraling staircases on each side lead to a cozy room adorned with a campfire at the temple’s pinnacle, which resembles a pyramid. With seven layers and primarily made of Chiseled Stone, Grass, Leaves, Moss, Mossy Cobblestone, Mossy Cobblestone Stairs and Walls, and Vines, this Maya-inspired structure is quite intricate.

This Mayan-Themed Minecraft Temple Looks Straight Out of History

Initially, ChakaCausey believed their design was influenced by Aztec architecture. However, upon being corrected by a Reddit user who thought it resembled a Mayan temple instead, they adjusted their statement. Another Reddit user suggested that replacing Minecraft’s Jungle Temples with a Maya-inspired structure could be ideal, although this might only occur through a mod. The existing Jungle Temples are appealing to players due to the exclusive traps guarding loot in Chests. According to ChakaCausey, it took them approximately 6 hours to construct this build and the user interface implies they used a controller for the process.
