The most recent example of this is the draft cover of volume 111, which was just revealed to fans.

As I stand by, I can’t help but marvel at this cover, marking the beginning of the Elbaf arc. Here we see a gathering of familiar faces from the Straw Hat Pirates: Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Chopper, and Usopp. But among them stands a newcomer, one of the most significant characters introduced recently – none other than Loki, the Giant Prince of Elbaf.

This tentative design for the cover showcased the color patterns of the Straw Hat crew’s garments, which several enthusiasts had accurately predicted due to Oda’s consistent use of their usual hues. The highlight, however, was undoubtedly unveiling Loki’s color scheme. In the footage, it appears that Oda was trying out various hair color options for himself.

Initially, Oda considered several hair colors like blond, red, purple, and even green. However, he ultimately chose a vibrant combination of purple and pink. Additionally, his intricate tattoos were depicted using a deep shade of red.
