After the competitive season restarted over the weekend, the CDL Major II qualifiers are currently underway in full swing. However, things haven’t been all fun and smiles for everyone involved. In an unexpected turn of events, OpTic Texas – last year’s Call of Duty Championship victor – was unable to win a single map against both Atlanta FaZe and Minnesota Rokkr, despite Pred’s recent return to the main roster.
Earlier this past year, Pred had to leave the team due to private matters, allowing Huke to take over. Now, after Huke’s removal from the squad, some supporters are expressing their disapproval, as it appears that this transition has caused more problems rather than solutions.
Not The Result You Wanted
To put it in a word, OpTic Texas was decimated this weekend by Atlanta FaZe and Minnesota Rokkr.
Atlanta FaZe is entering the qualifiers following triumphs at Major I and the first CDL Minor, while OpTic Texas is still recovering from a loss at the recent Madrid Major. In the CDL period, FaZe has an exceptionally strong record against OpTic Texas.
Meanwhile, Minnesota Rokkr sits at sixth position in the league rankings and hasn’t faced off against OpTic Texas since June 2024. Interestingly enough, Rokkr managed to defeat OpTic Texas in that matchup as well.
In this matchup, OpTic Texas didn’t manage to claim a single victory on any map. Quickly taking to social media, the team voiced their worries.

@Kuavo
I’m truly regretful about this outcome. It’s not what my supporters expect or deserve. I need to step up my game. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but I’ve faced similar situations before. Good game, Faze and MN.

After their defeat against Atlanta FaZe, there’s a video circulating showing OpTic Texas’ player Dashy attempting to break his webcam in frustration. The past couple of weeks have been challenging for OpTic, and they are already far removed from their victory at the COD Champs.
In the Call of Duty League this weekend, LAT has been dominating opponents everywhere. They swept the Royal Ravens 3-0 in one match and devastated the Vegas Falcons in another. Unfortunately, the Vegas Falcons have yet to secure a victory this season.
In their recent encounter, LAG M8 suffered another defeat, this time versus Boston Breach. The game began as a tight contest, with the initial Hardpoint being decided by a mere two-point gap. However, things soon took a turn for the worse for LAG M8. Currently, the team is ranked 11th in the CDL standings, having won only two matches so far and losing eight.
The qualifying rounds for the second Major of the Call of Duty League will carry on over the upcoming weekend, as everyone keeps a keen focus on the upcoming tournament in Texas. The event is scheduled to take place from March 20th through March 23rd.
