In February 2025, you can now access and play both “Patapon 3” and “Dropship: United Peace Force” through the collection of classic games offered by PS Plus Premium. Each game comes with its own trophy list for players to earn. These games were added as part of the February 2025 lineup for the service.
Among the standout advantages of PS Plus Premium lies its expanding library of retro games from the PlayStation 1, 2, and PSP eras that can be played natively, along with titles from the PS3 era that are available for streaming only. Moreover, these classic PS Plus Premium games come equipped with user-friendly features such as rewind functionality, customizable controls, save points, higher resolution and frame rate, video filters, and sometimes even fresh trophy lists to conquer. Sony regularly adds a selection of new classics to the PS Plus Premium catalog, many of which include trophy support.
In addition to the upcoming February 2025 PS Plus Extra and Premium updates, two more titles – PSP rhythm game “Patapon 3” and PS2 flight combat simulator “Dropship: United Peace Force” – have been added to the service’s classic collection. This is particularly exciting for trophy hunters, as “Patapon 3”, a PSP classic, offers an impressive 40 trophies on both PS4 and PS5, including a platinum trophy. However, it’s important to note that the co-op multiplayer feature from “Patapon 3” isn’t included in the PS Plus Premium release. Despite this, the game’s trophies are no walk in the park, as later levels require significant skill and mastery.
The collection of 22 trophies for Dropship: United Peace Force is generally less complex compared to Patapon 3, but repeated playthroughs might be necessary to achieve the platinum. Originally developed by PlayStation’s closed London Studio, Dropship: United Peace Force can now be found among other lesser-known classic games accessible to PS Plus Premium members, including SkyGunners, Ghosthunter, Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, etc.
Exciting news for classic game enthusiasts! Sony has just announced that the initial three installments of the Armored Core series will be making their way to PS Plus Premium later this year.
