In the initial episode of Season 3 of Reacher, entitled “Persuader”, we find our hero, Reacher, making his way to Maine and stepping into a store dealing in vintage vinyl records. Notably, he was spotted with Zachary in his vehicle and was intent on finding him. Following their conversation, they agree to collaborate and aid one another. Additionally, they deliberate over their plans, methods, and the reasons why Duffy is determined to pursue this case despite being removed from it. Interestingly, it’s disclosed that Duffy had almost obtained intel about Beck’s business through an informant named Teresa Daniels. Unfortunately, matters worsened when Duffy stopped hearing from Daniels, leading to her disappearance. Duffy suspects that Daniels was caught spying on Beck, and they made her vanish.

In a united effort, the entire team brainstorms and devises a plan, opting for a hoax kidnapping to rescue Richard and establish Zachary’s trust. It’s important to note that the cop he supposedly shot was actually a fellow team member, and the shooting incident itself was staged. At night, he revisits the barn once more, engaging in the Russian Roulette game, only to discover a concealed cellar. During his exploration of the cellar, he accidentally unearths a remnant of Shepherd’s Pie on a platter. The first episode of Reacher Season 3 concludes with Reacher hinting that Daniels may have survived. As for Season 3, it commences with an installment that underscores the fact that this time, the risks are escalated significantly.

Under an undercover mission, a formidable adversary, and Reacher assuming a secret identity, the tension is incredibly high right from the beginning.
