In Dragon Ball DAIMA, the story commenced with Shenron being brought forth using the Earth’s Dragon Balls, causing Goku and his companions to become tiny children. The appearance of Glorio marked the beginning of their quest for the Dragon Balls from the Demon Realm. Along their journey, Goku and Vegeta managed to obtain two of these mystical orbs by defeating Tamagami. However, Dr. Arinsu’s sinister scheme was gradually unfolding in the shadows. With only a few episodes left until the conclusion, the elusive Demon Realm Porunga has now been summoned in Dragon Ball DAIMA.

Despite cautions that the formidable Tamagami, guardians of the Demon Realm Dragon Balls, had never been conquered, even in a miniaturized state, Goku remained Goku. This tiny Super Saiyan managed to swiftly overcome Tamagami Number Three. The emergence of Vegeta followed, and the Saiyan Prince activated Super Saiyan 3 for the first time as he vanquished Tamagami Number Two. Glorio was with them throughout, but Dr. Arinsu ultimately triggered her double agent to invoke Demon Realm Porunga in Dragon Ball DAIMA.

In the series Dragon Ball DAIMA, Goku’s journey to the Demon Realm with Glorio and Shin has taken numerous unexpected turns. Initially, the Supreme Kai was wary of their new ally due to some strange behavior, like Glorio not showing surprise at being turned into children, and his claim that King Kadan of the Third Demon World sent him, which later proved false. As fans progressed through Dragon Ball DAIMA, they discovered that these suspicions were well-founded. While collecting the first two Dragon Balls from the Demon Realm, Dr. Arinsu crafted replacements for Majin Buu and obtained a Demon Realm Dragon Ball of her own.

When not even Goku’s renowned Super Saiyan 4 transformation could halt the might of the Supreme Demon King Gomah and the Tertian Oculus, Dr. Arinsu initiated her strategy. In Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 18, “Awakening”, it appeared as though the only method to truly summon the Demon Realm’s everlasting dragon would necessitate Neva’s aid. It was generally believed that only a Namekian could speak Namekian, but Arinsu had Glorio covertly learn Namekian in anticipation of this moment. Hybis unwittingly handed over the remaining two Demon Realm Dragon Balls to Glorio at Arinsu’s command. However, the final step would have required Neva, yet Arinsu had prepared Glorio to speak Namekian.

When not even Goku’s renowned Super Saiyan 4 form could withstand the might of the Supreme Demon King Gomah and the Tertian Oculus, it was at last that Dr. Arinsu initiated her scheme.

Arinsu intends to seize the title of the new, formidable Demon King, surpassing Gomah’s might, and rule with such dread that beings across the cosmos submit to the Demon Realm’s power. This reminded Glorio of his adventures with Goku, Shin, Panzy, and others. After a brief pause, he echoed the phrases that initially resonated from Dende during the Frieza Saga in “Dragon Ball Z”. He said, “Transform… Super Spirit Bomb… Ultimate Destructo Disk.

The recently conjured Demon Realm Porunga bears a striking resemblance to the initial Porunga encountered on Namek, with similar muscular structure and distinctive horns. However, it’s worth noting that this everlasting dragon is a deep red color and notably larger than the Porunga summoned by the Dragon Balls of the Namekians.

The disclosure of Porunga from the Demonic Plane strengthens Neva’s association with what eventually evolved into the Namekians. When Piccolo initially encounters Neva, he asks if he is the “Legendary Namekian,” and it’s later unveiled that Neva is the solitary Namekian who opted to stay within the Demonic Plane. The Dragon Balls from the Demonic Realm were devised as a means to honor the Namekians, but malevolent forces discovered their location, leading Neva to invent the Tamagamis for their protection. For millennia, Neva has remained in the Demonic Plane, even after other Namekians left for the outside world.

As an observer, I recall a time when I wasn’t certain if any other Nameks were still alive as Dragon Ball DAIMA commenced. However, the series has since revealed that Neva’s eternal dragon served as a model for the Porunga of Namek. The power of the Demon Realm Porunga was unmistakable when it effortlessly deflected an attack from Gomah, placing him second only to Super Shenron in terms of canonical eternal dragons.
