Tony Hawk Fans Should Get Excited for March 4th

There’s been a lot of smoke recently concerning the Tony Hawk‘s Pro Skater franchise.

Ever since skateboarding sensation Tyshawn Jones hinted at his appearance in an upcoming remaster, I’ve been eagerly awaiting each passing day. Now, the Tony Hawk official site is dropping hints too, starting a countdown to March 4th, 2025!

A day following the emergence of an Easter egg in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, a countdown suggested that something related to the Tony Hawk series might be unveiled on March 4th.

Ever since the Black Ops teaser emerged on The Grind map, a skate park setting, many have been joining dots. With the official site now hinting at an upcoming announcement, it seems all signs are pointing in the same direction.

Last Year, Tony Hawk Said The Franchise Still Had A Future

After the great success of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, many enthusiasts felt that it was just a question of when versions 3 and 4 would be updated.

Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out differently; the developer Vicarious Visions was incorporated entirely into their parent company, Activision Blizzard, and focused on creating the remaster of Diablo 2 instead.

Previously, as a tribute to the franchise reaching its 25-year milestone, Tony Hawk hinted at the fact that the series will continue in some capacity, without revealing any specific details.

Back in the day, I poured my heart and soul into every nook and cranny of this project, convinced we were crafting something truly special. And boy, was I ever proud of what came after – the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series, along with its incredible soundtracks. A huge shout-out to Activision, Neversoft (may they rest in peace), and every gamer who joined me on this journey during those formative years. As for what lies ahead for the series, I can’t spill the beans just yet, but trust me – there’s more where that came from!

Regardless if it’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 or a completely fresh game, I’ll be all set to groove to Goldfinger’s “Superman” next month.
