Sekai No Owari’s “The Peak” Reaches New Milestone

A total of 67 Million Views on YouTube

The anime “One Piece” has been on for quite some time and has had numerous opening themes to date. One of its latest, entitled “The Summit,” or “Saiko Totatsuten” in Japanese, is among the most recent opening songs for the show.

In the popular series “One Piece,” this anime’s theme song was played during the Wano arc for approximately fifteen episodes, a relatively short duration compared to typical runs within the show.

It’s noteworthy that this anime opening is the first one to feature Luffy in his latest emblematic form, Gear 5, from the One Piece series. Interestingly, this particular opening is also the briefest one in the series, running for just 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Despite this, the debut by Sekai No Owari has hit an unprecedented mark on YouTube, racking up a staggering 67 million views in total, a feat that’s truly remarkable.

You can watch this anime’s opening right here on YouTube, as it was uploaded by the creators, Sekai No Owari themselves.

Who Are Sekai No Owari?

A Japanese Band

Sekai No Owari, a popular Japanese band established in 2005, created the 25th opening theme for One Piece titled “The Peak”.

Hailing from Tokyo, this musical group has produced a substantial body of work throughout their career, currently boasting seven albums. Comprised of four members, Nakajin serves as both the band leader and guitarist, Fukase handles lead vocals, Saori is responsible for the piano, and DJ Snake rounds out the ensemble as the group’s DJ.

Besides One Piece, they also worked on the Crayon Shin-Chan movie and Mary To Majo no Hana.

As a bystander, I can confidently say that in the times to come, countless enthusiasts of One Piece and anime at large would undoubtedly express their delight should there be more opening themes produced. Currently, they find themselves with relatively few options, yearning for more.
