Unlock the Ultimate Weapons: Find All Starmetal Fragments in Avowed

In the game Avowed, Starmetal serves as a potent material for constructing and enhancing two exclusive weapons. This rare resource is connected to the quest “Forged of Star-Stuff“, which initiates upon your first collection of Starmetel. You can take any Starmetel you discover to Forgemaster Dela in Solace Keep, where she will help you create either a unique arquebus (Moonstrike) or sword (Meteor Blade). Each weapon can be improved once, but initially, you must make a choice. However, gathering all four pieces of Starmetal allows you to craft every available item, ensuring that starting with one or the other does not limit your options in any way.

Just like unearthing the ancient memories of Avowed, although there’s a quest regarding the Starmetal fragments, you won’t be able to track them down using a quest marker alone. Instead, you’ll need to venture out and discover their locations independently. Fortunately, most of these pieces are situated near fast travel points, and many are also near places you’ll visit during Avowed’s main storyline. This makes it simple to revisit the spots where they are hidden if you happen to miss them initially, and quickly return later on.

Where To Find The Starmetal In Dawnshore

Dawnshore’s Starmetal Is Directly Across The Gate To Emerald Stair

The Dawnshore Starmetal is situated immediately beside the gateway connecting Dawnshore and Emerald Stair. If you’re already in Dawnshore, you can quickly teleport to the Emerald Stair Gatehouse Beacon as a starting point. Those arriving at Dawnshore from any of Avowed’s other regions will also end up here. For those who haven’t discovered the Gatehouse yet, it’s directly east of the Militia Barracks entrance to Paradis, located on the southeastern side of the city.

Right opposite the Emerald Stair Gatehouse, you’ll spot a tiny stone archway. Make your way towards it and you’ll come across an altar encircled by Xaurips. After eliminating the Xaurips, you’ll discover a piece of Starmetal on the altar. This is quite noticeable, being a big purple lump with an orange radiance. If this is your initial fragment, it will also initiate the “Forged of Star-Stuff” quest. At present, there’s no need to search for someone to forge it if you haven’t reached Galawain’s Tusks yet, as that’s where the only capable blacksmith resides.

Where To Find Starmetal In Emerald Stair

Emerald Stair’s Starmetal Is Just South Of The Rolling Crags Party Camp

The Emerald Stair Starmetal can be found right south of the Rolling Crags Party Camp. If you haven’t accessed this quick travel spot yet, you can make your way north from Avowed’s Fior mes Ivèrno instead. After reaching the Abandoned Farms Beacon, head straight east and you’ll come across the campsite. From there, move south and leap down a small slope. Once you’ve jumped down, turn back towards the campsite and you’ll spot a circular cave entrance. If you’re searching for the slope near camp, it’s located to the left of the building at the southern end.

Step into the cavern, and you’ll encounter some fearsome creatures, including an ogre boasting a hefty health gauge. Overcome them, and you’ll discover the Starmetal tucked away at the rear of the cave, nestled beside an opening that leads to a small water pool and a waterfall. You could theoretically leap from your camp down this side, but it offers less space for evasive maneuvers during combat compared to entering from the opposite direction.

Where To Find Starmetal In Shatterscarp

Shatterscarp’s Starmetal Is In The Abandoned Mine Near Thridborn

The Starmetal in Shatterscarp is located on a tiny cliff edge overseeing the Thirdborn Party Camp. Regrettably, scaling up the cliff isn’t an option, but knowing its location will aid in finding it. Follow the rugged ridge to your left from camp, moving westward, and then north once it changes direction. If you stick to the ridge, you will eventually come across a small stone cave, which you can enter through.

Within, you’ll discover yourself in a derelict mine with some broken supports. Ascend as far as you can on the undamaged supports, until you come across a ladder. Upon reaching the ladder, you will be able to leap from the supports to a rocky outcrop on the north side of the abandoned mine. Continue following the edge of the outcrop until it bends back towards the north and begins its journey back towards your party camp.

To move ahead, leap over the chasm that separates the two large rock formations, then keep going straight along the trail. The Starmetal is located right on the cliff’s edge. If you prefer not to retrace your steps or endure a loading screen, you can safely jump down from here instead of fast traveling.

Where To Find Starmetal In Galawain’s Tusks

Galawain’s Tusks’ Starmetal Can Be Tracked With The Bounty On Destul

As a gamer, here’s my take: “Alright, fellow adventurer! The final piece of that elusive Starmetal is hidden near the Ash Forest Beacon, nestled within Galawain’s Tusks. If you haven’t discovered the beacon yet, I’d suggest accepting the bounty on Destul. This will not only guide you straight to the Starmetal but also tag it on your map. However, be prepared for a battle, because once you nab that Starmetal, Destul will appear. Now, here’s a pro tip: You’ll encounter Destul anyway, so why not take the bounty? It’ll make finding the Starmetal smoother and you’ll earn an extra reward for your trouble.

The Starmetal can be effortlessly identified, as it’s situated at the base of a vast depression, encircled by a ring of fractured stone where it struck. This crater lies to the left of the ‘A’ in “Ash Forest” on the map, if you choose to search for it without following the quest. Upon gathering it, you’ll possess all the necessary components to craft every distinctive Starmetal weapon.

Gathering all Starmetal is an effective method to obtain some of Avowed‘s finest weapons. Craftsman Dela won’t charge you for transforming your Starmetal into these exclusive items, and the Heavenstrike is one of the best arquebuses in the game. Although all unique arquebuses have a damage cap, Heavenstrike’s added Stun provides a significant edge, particularly beneficial for Rangers utilizing Staggering Shot. Ondra’s Offense is quite useful too, especially when engaging powerful bosses. Reducing the enemy’s damage output can be advantageous, particularly for melee combatants. Both weapons serve as compelling incentives to seek out Avowed‘s Starmetal.
