Aladdin’s Gem Stall Leaves Out Snow White

With great excitement among its players, it’s been officially revealed that Disney Dreamlight Valley is bringing a new update soon – the Tales of Agrabah Update! This exciting expansion will incorporate elements such as unique features, themes, furniture, and outfits inspired by the classic film Aladdin. Additionally, the film isn’t just an inspiration for this update; characters Aladdin and Princess Jasmine are also set to join the cast of Disney Dreamlight Valley.

In addition to the anticipated characters and items in Disney Dreamlight Valley updates, Tales of Agrabah also brings fresh elements such as a new Star Path and user-friendly improvements. Upon its release in the simulation game, players can expect numerous engaging gameplay features within Tales of Agrabah. Notably, the newly introduced Gem Stall in Disney Dreamlight Valley could become a popular feature for the game.

Aladdin’s Gem Stall is Coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley

The recently introduced Jewel Shop appears to serve a role similar to Goofy’s Stall. In this case, characters like Goofy manage stalls where they sell various types of seeds in exchange for Star Coins. Analogously, the Jewel Shop will provide gemstones instead of seeds. Interestingly, it has been revealed that Aladdin will be the character operating this new Jewel Shop, which is part of the Tales of Agrabah update. According to the announcement on Disney Dreamlight Valley’s X account, players can buy a daily selection of stunning gemstones from the new vendor in the shop.

For Disney Dreamlight Valley players who prefer a more casual approach to mining or find themselves short on precious gems, a Gem Shop could be a game-changer. With various gemstone options available for purchase, some items in the game may now become simpler to craft, enhancing the overall experience based on the gemstones stocked at the shop.

Although the Aladdin’s Gem Stall cannot be transferred from the new Aladdin realm into other base game worlds or DLC exclusive areas, it’s understandable that some players might find this limitation a bit disappointing, given that decorating is a popular pastime in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In its previous Sew Delightful update, the game expanded its decorating options with Floating Islands, which suggests that Gameloft and Disney are aware of the importance of customization to players. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the only issue encountered when introducing the new Aladdin’s Gem Stall – it seems strange that they added it alongside Aladdin and Jasmine instead of another iconic Disney princess, given the opportunity for variety in character selection.

Another Disney Princess Has Ties to the Mines

Although gemstones might be associated with the character Aladdin, the seven dwarfs from Snow White are actual miners. While Aladdin could wish for gemstones from Genie to enhance his stall, the dwarfs, such as Grumpy, Sleepy, Doc, and the rest, could literally mine for gems to enrich this new establishment.

At the moment, it appears that Snow White and her companions will not be joining Disney Dreamlight Valley. Fans speculated about Aladdin and Jasmine appearing in the popular simulation game following the release of the 2025 roadmap for Disney Dreamlight Valley last November. However, characters from Disney’s earliest films are hinted at, but those from the first feature film have not been mentioned yet.

The players’ response towards the addition of the Gem Stall in the game has been favorable so far, even before the Tales of Agrabah update launches on February 26. This warm reception confirms that Gameloft made a wise decision by incorporating the Stall alongside Aladdin and Jasmine. Introducing the Gem Stall within a Snow White update in Disney Dreamlight Valley would have been a logical choice, following the principle of Occam’s razor.
