In the upcoming sections of Avowed, you’ll discover that there are multiple pieces of Starmetal scattered throughout, each essential for your quest. Now, the question arises: Where can you locate all the fragments of Starmetal?

Fragment of Starmetal locations in Avowed

As a gamer, I’ve stumbled upon four coveted pieces of Starmetal hidden throughout Avowed. Gathering them all is essential for wrapping up the Forged of Star-Stuff side quest. To accomplish this mission, simply seek out Forgemaster Dela in the cellars of Solace Keep, nestled within Galawain’s Tusks. However, it’s only necessary to obtain one or two Starmetal Fragments to craft the powerful weapons that the blacksmith can forge for you.

In the game Avowed, the four segments of Starmetal are scattered across all maps. You need to explore every map to collect all four pieces. The maps become accessible as you advance the story in the game, and they follow this sequence: Dawnshore, Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, and Galawain’s Tusks.

In every region you visit within Avowed, you’ll find a Piece of Starmetal readily available for collection. This means there are no story-related barriers preventing you from obtaining them. However, just because they’re accessible doesn’t make them easy to locate. You might require some assistance in tracking them down. Dawnshore Fragment of Starmetal location

In the exciting world of Avowed, I’ll kick things off by discussing Dawnshore – the initial map you’ll gain access to upon unlocking it. To gather the Fragment of Starmetal, make your way towards the entrance of Emerald Stair. Now, while Emerald Stair remains off-limits until the Paradis Ambassador grants permission, there’s nothing stopping you from approaching the gate beforehand.

To reach the “Godless Altar,” proceed westwards from the Emerald Stair Gatehouse, which is situated on the southeastern side of Dawnshore. You’ll find this location at its center. On top of an altar in this area, you’ll discover a Fragment of Starmetal. Retrieve it and then either complete the remaining storyline events in Dawnshore or journey towards Emerald Stair to hunt for the next piece.


Emerald Stair Fragment of Starmetal location

In the upcoming area of Avowed, called Emerald Stair, you’ll discover the Fragment of Starmetal. While it’s not overly challenging to locate, be prepared as it is safeguarded by a formidable foe. To find this piece, navigate to the Damp Burrow marked on your map, situated precisely in the heart of Rolling Crags region, northeast of Fior mes Iverno. If you’ve unlocked the Damp Burrow Party Camp fast travel point, it will make reaching the location a breeze.

At the Damp Burrow location, head southeast from the main house. You should spot a small pool of water there. Move southward from this water source. Near the cave south of the water, you’ll encounter a troll foe named Iscern. This cave houses two options – you can either fight Iscern or circumvent him to reach the Fragment of Starmetal. Inside the cave, the fragment is located near the back entrance and is marked by a cluster of purple stardust. It’s quite noticeable once you enter the cave.


Shatterscarp Fragment of Starmetal location

As a devoted fan, I can’t wait to explore the treacherous landscape of Shatterscarp, the third map that becomes accessible in Avowed. This area is where the elusive Fragment of Starmetal lies, hidden in a location that’s downright precarious. Only those with a keen eye and a specific mission to find this piece would ever set foot here.

Initially, swiftly teleport to the Party Camp landmark that’s situated below the Abandoned Mine, located north of Thirdborn. After arriving at the landmark, proceed in a northwesterly direction along the road adjacent to the Abandoned Mine. As you follow the rock wall where the Abandoned Mine is placed, look for a narrow opening that allows you to crawl through, which will guide you directly into the mine. From this point, move forward by jumping on rocks and utilizing ladders and wooden platforms as you ascend deeper into the mine.

Your objective is to make your way to the southern part of the mine, specifically opposite the area with wooden frameworks. At the summit of this southern side, there’s a rocky outcrop and plateau – that’s where you’ll discover the Starmetal Fragment lying on the ground. Use the map snapshot provided as your guide to help navigate through the mine.


Galawain’s Tusks Fragment of Starmetal location

At last, the last location for the Starmetal fragment has been marked on the Galawain’s Tusks map. Fortunately, this spot seems relatively straightforward to find. However, due to the vastness of Galawain’s Tusks and the distance to the Starmetal piece, it will require some time before we can reach it, as the fragment cannot be collected until you have traversed the entire region.

The piece of Starmetal can be discovered within Galawain’s Tusks, located to the left side (when facing the map) of the Ash Forest, which is situated northwest of Solace Keep, nearly at the northernmost point in the region. On your map, simply move towards the area labeled “Ash” and proceed to your left from there.

In this location, you’ll discover the “Revenant” reward that you can collect at Solace Keep for a slight edge in navigation. The elusive Fragment of Starmetal lies smack dab in the center of a scarlet meteor impact crater on the terrain. Upon grabbing the fragment, the Revenant boss emerges, leaving you with the choice to either defeat it or flee. Take a gander at the map snapshot below to pinpoint the exact spot in Ash Forest where you should search for the fragment.


In Avowed, there are four fragments of Starmetal scattered around. By presenting all four of these Starmetal fragments to Forgemaster Dela in Solace Keep, you’ll earn a rare Arquebus and a unique one-handed sword. Each weapon requires one Starmetel for construction, but if you bring an extra fragment to the blacksmith, they can enhance your weapons for you. This upgrade boosts their stats and gives them new names. The only way to finish the Forged of Star-Stuff quest is by delivering all four fragments.
