Summary
- Spider-Man 4 may introduce newer MCU characters.
- Kingpin & Daredevil not expected in Spider-Man 4.
- Recent comments on character appearances in upcoming movies may not be final.
In recent years, Marvel Studios has become known for including cameos in their films and series, creating a sense among viewers that they should expect to see these surprises frequently. With Spider-Man 4 being one of the eagerly anticipated upcoming projects from Marvel Studios, there are numerous fresh characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who could seamlessly slot into this world.
It’s plausible that if Marvel Studios plans to create Spider-Man 4 as a street-level film (as there have been rumors), it could provide an opportunity to present several street-level characters recently introduced by Marvel Studios to a wider MCU audience. Nevertheless, Vincent D’Onofrio has hinted that neither Kingpin nor Daredevil will appear in Spider-Man 4.
As a passionate movie enthusiast, I was recently chatting with Meltdown Press about the exciting new Daredevil: Born Again series. When they brought up the possibility of a Spider-Man 4 role for me, here’s what I had to say: “To be honest, we haven’t been cast in Spider-Man 4 yet. They haven’t shared that information with me, or anyone else on the team that I know of. However, given our extensive interview history, it’s not uncommon for speculation like this to arise.
It’s possible that D’Onofrio may still be in the movie, even though he’s stated they won’t be. This is because Marvel actors have a tendency to mislead about their roles to maintain secrecy. Given the numerous script changes for Spider-Man 4, unexpected appearances might not come as much of a surprise anymore.
In contrast, Charlie Cox did make a brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, playing the part of Matt Murdock. This was his initial introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Consequently, there’s a basis for this character to intermingle with Spider-Man’s universe. By the time Spider-Man 4 is released, he will be a more established figure because of his own series, leading many fans to anticipate seeing him in this film. On the other hand, Kingpin is a character who can effortlessly fit into a movie like this, as his presence is incredibly powerful.
As a die-hard Marvel fan, I’ve been buzzing with excitement about the upcoming changes for Spider-Man. It seems there are whispers of him taking a new path, which, if true, could breathe fresh life into this cherished character. Yet, this potential shift aligns with Daredevil and Kingpin making an appearance in “Daredevil: Born Again,” a project promising to be the most gritty and brutal installment within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Introducing such intensity into the Spider-Man universe could mirror the character’s impending transformation. Consequently, recent remarks should be taken with a grain of salt, given that “Spider-Man 4” hasn’t even started filming yet, leaving ample room to incorporate these characters at a later stage.
