  • Rumored return of Lucille in hallucinations could haunt Negan in upcoming episodes.

AMC has officially announced that the second season of “The Walking Dead: Dead City” will air soon, and it’s not far off now. Fans eagerly awaiting the return of zombie-related action starring Jeffery Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan won’t have to wait long; they can catch the spin-off on AMC starting May 4. In a recent promotional clip, characters from The Croat’s Burazi are shown storming through New York City streets before encountering a walker armed with gear. After knocking it out and tossing it into their truck, they continue their journey.

Following transporting the zombies (along with others) back to their headquarters, workers are observed chucking them into a pool of green liquid, unveiling it as a vital power supply for Radio City Music Hall. This tantalizing sneak peek offers fans a glimpse of what’s to come when May arrives. Although Maggie and Negan aren’t present in the video this time, the maniacal whistler might find himself with a challenging task ahead in season 2 of The Walking Dead: Dead City, as there are whispers that a significant character for him may resurface, potentially pushing Negan towards the brink of insanity.

Lucille Rumored to Return in Hallucinations in The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2

Based on information from @TWDUfilming on Twitter, there are rumors that Hilarie Burton Morgan could reprise her role as Lucille in episode 7 of season 2 of “The Walking Dead: Dead City.” Instead of flashbacks to Negan like we saw in the final episode of season 10 of “The Walking Dead,” this time it appears that Lucille will make an appearance through hallucinations within episode 7 of “Dead City” season 2. For those who might have forgotten, Burton Morgan played the character of Lucille, whom Negan later named his bat after.

In a post-apocalyptic world, Lucille developed pancreatic cancer, making it hard to find medicine. Despite accepting her fate, this wasn’t the case for Negan. After Lucille took her own life, a devastated Negan discovered her zombified remains upon his return from scavenging for medication. He managed to end her existence by setting fire to her and their home. However, even after burning the bat he named after her, it seems that the ghost of Lucille continues to torment him in the spin-off series.

In Season 2 of “The Walking Dead: Dead City”, Negan might grapple with spectral apparitions of Lucille as he faces off against past demons. These hallucinations could either signify a quest for peace with his troubled history or a descent further into darkness. Some viewers have suggested that these supernatural occurrences could manifest after Negan has suffered a zombie bite or critical injury, serving as either solace or a chilling reminder for him. Recently, Jeffrey Dean Morgan voiced his enthusiasm for Season 2 of “Dead City”, but admitted to feeling somewhat uneasy at the prospect of wielding his iconic bat once more.

The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 premieres on May 4 on AMC and AMC+.
