In the upcoming release next month, “The First Berserker: Khazan” offers Soulslike enthusiasts a sneak peek into some of the formidable bosses they’ll encounter. Standing out among the Soulslikes that have emerged over the past few years, “The First Berserker: Khazan” was initially showcased at The Game Awards in 2023 and has since generated a wave of intrigue with its captivating trailers and updates.
One distinctive feature of “The First Berserker: Khazan” that sets it apart from other Souls games is its unique art style. This game remarkably combines 2D anime-inspired character designs with fully 3D surroundings, creating an artistic style rarely found in the Souls series. Coupled with its dark gothic fantasy atmosphere and intense, stylishly challenging combat, “The First Berserker: Khazan” has emerged as a game that Souls enthusiasts should keep an eye on this year.
This year at IGN FanFest, it’s me, your excited fan, who’s been treated to another pulse-pounding gameplay trailer for “The First Berserker: Khazan”. The focus this time? Epic boss battles! The action kicks off with me squaring off against a lady brandishing an umbrella, seemingly able to manipulate the colossal water surrounding our battlefield. The rest of the two-minute spectacle showcases me taking on two formidable beasts – first is Shactuka, a fearsome wolf-like creature, and secondly, Specter of Bhangau, a hulking ram-like entity armed with a hammer and spikes. Can’t wait to see more!
The First Berzerker: Khazan Releases New Boss Fight Trailer
In this new trailer, it appears that the woman armed with an umbrella, who seems to be a significant figure in the story, doesn’t have her name visible due to the absence of the Heads-Up Display (HUD) in the focused portion of the trailer. Compared to the other two beastly adversaries, she gives off a boss-like vibe based on the brief cutscene snippet included.
Throughout the video, Khazan is shown defending against enemy attacks with his large swords, skillfully parrying and executing quick combos. However, when Khazan launches an offensive, it seems his attacks have minimal impact on the bosses’ health bars, leaving us to wonder if perhaps the version of Khazan in this trailer was under-leveled or if The First Berserker: Khazan is indeed as challenging as suggested.
In approximately a month, on March 27th, the highly-anticipated game titled “The First Berserker: Khazan” is set to hit the shelves. You’ll be able to find it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, as well as PC platforms. While Ubisoft’s “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” is expected to create a significant impact a week before, “Khazan” has already managed to win over the hearts of Souls series enthusiasts. Both games are poised for success when they launch towards the end of March.
