How to change the time of day and environment in Monster Hunter Wilds

While exploring the vast universe of ‘Monster Hunter World’, it’s likely that you’ll sometimes have to adjust the time of day or the current season to locate particular monsters or native life forms that can only be found during specific periods.

Mastering the ability to switch the date from day to night or modifying the surroundings to cater to your preferences is a crucial aspect of the game, as it maximizes each opportunity. Remember, not every player enjoys battling monsters constantly; some may prefer taking a leisurely fishing trip in various seasons instead.

Where to change the season and time in Monster Hunter Wilds

To adjust the time and day in any region within Monster Hunter Worlds, simply return to Base Camp or one of your established Camps, then step inside a tent where you can choose from various options including changing gear, creating items, and preparing for your upcoming expedition.

As you navigate towards the BBQ menu, you’ll spot an option labeled “Rest” nestled below the feature that lets you Grill a Meal. If you’re engaged in a main questline at the moment, this option will appear grayed out and be unavailable for use. You can only utilize it once you’ve finished your current quest and re-entered free play.

Clicking “Rest” will take you to a new menu where you have the flexibility to modify the setting and time according to your location. For instance, if you’re in the Plains region, you can alter the environment to Plenty, Fallow, or Inclemency, each of which hosts distinct monsters, Endemic Life forms, and aquatic creatures such as Fish.

With each use of 300 Guild Credits, you can modify the time or surroundings, or both, to something fresh. Upon exiting your tent, the world will adapt accordingly to your settings. If you run out of credits, it’s quite simple to finish High-Level missions to earn 300 or more at once, ensuring that you’ll never find yourself short on them.

Explore different parts of the world map during various seasons and times, especially at night, to locate unique species such as the Sandstar that are exclusive to certain plains only during a Plenty season. This quest could lead to fascinating discoveries as you fill up your Endemic Life or aquatic field guides.
